Gotta post this one early:

Rutgers PK VERY BIG over GTown. . . First off, both teams are stuggling to get wins. Which would you expect to break this trend? The home team or road team? Georgetown has yet to win a game on the road so are we to assume they are going to magically break that streak tonight? Think this line is low due to name recognition. . . GTown used to be a basketball powerhouse. . . Rutgers is basically a no name team but we all know they play very good ball at home. Take a look at the first game between both teams. Rutgers had 72 shot opportunities. . . GTown only 55 yet both teams made the same amount of shots. I would expect this to increase for Rutgers playing at home and decrease for GTown playing on the road. Also, the reason GTown had less attempts may have been turnovers or the fact they got to the free throw line a lot more than Rutgers. If it was free throws, I wouldn't expect them to get the same calls they received at home.

May add some more tomorrow or tonight if I find info, but I like this one a lot. . . will be interesting to see how much the public likes GTown.

heres the one thing that scares me.
ive backed rutgers (SUCCESSFULLY might i add) in 2 recent games. i had em at home vs syracuse and then i had em at home vs boston college. theyre obviously a much better team at the RAC. having said that, i was THANKFUL they pulled out the win somehow vs boston college in a game where it was boston college's to lose, and the eagles somehow gave it away. im not one to get too much into x's and o's, but rutgers has to have the most STAGNANT offense ive ever seen the last few weeks. all they do is pass the ball around the perimeter and then someone pops a 3-ball. its really weird because they are well coached and have good talent. but the only reason they beat bc was because they got hot behind the arc. otherwise, i was getting so frustrated watching rutgers just play catch on the perimeter and then have someone jack a 3. its worth noting because of how inside-oriented georgetown is.

if rutgers isnt hitting, theyre gonna get destroyed on the glass, and sweetney could hurt them inside.

i honestly want to pull the trigger with you on rutgers and play on the knights, because everything you said is true.

but i just dont know if i can go to the well another time with these guys when they arent executing basic stuff on offense. its like a playground team.

btw, its just my opinion, but i think this game might even see a line move toward rutgers laying points, even though many will back georgetown

gl man.

Nickel,

Any thoughts on Mich. St and Georgia? Seems like Kentucky is laying a steep number due to recent dominations over Florida and Miss. It may rise a few more points imo. But Georgia is more than solid.

Tony,

Was just gonna post that I like Wisconsin over Michigan State. . . the line looks funny after MSU was able to stay within the number at Indiana. Also, MSU not very good on the road, Wisky solid at home. Stats favor Wisconsin especially FG%. Should be able to get the calls on the inside at home.

Still thinking about Georgia, but I like them. . . its just hard to know when Kentucky is going to finally cool off. If anybody has some guts, might want to take a shot at the Georgia ML as they need the win after losing a tough game at Tennessee

Good luck on your plays. Georgetown sucks this year. They have one of the best post players in the country but they don't have anybody except Riley that can shoot worth a shit from the outside. I have never seen that many out of control players on the same team in my life. Does anybody remember who the last white player that actually got any game for Georgetown was? I have been wondering about that for a long time.

Rutgers BIG??? Wow.
I was leaning G-town because of their upside on the inside when compared to Rutgers. The under might be decent play here......

You're a good capper NickelB, so I'm definitely going to look at this one some more.....

Looking at Kansas State very big as well. . . wasn't sure at first glance, but Wizzard is right on about this one. Colorado getting too much respect for their wins at home, but take a look at their performances on the road lately. . . completely different story. KSU is coming off a difficult loss to Kansas as they let the chance of staying in the game get away from them into a complete rout. Should be a different story tonight as they should play a complete 40 minute game. After looking at stats, this is a very good play statistically.

Wow! Very Big on Rutgers, huh?hmh I like G'town strictly because they have played some good ball on the road against some good competition. Syracuse, ND, and Pitt of recent. They have also lost 5 straight, and have been so close in all of their last 5 with the exception of Seton Hall where they were sandwiched between road games against Pitt and ND. They just lost a home game to a ,imo terrible UCLA team. Their last win was against Rutgers at home. Maybe this is the game they need to get on the winning track.
Rutgers is 6-2 last 8 ats, all but once as a dog. Don't think sneaking up on anyone anymore  Just my opinion. I wish you luck nickel. Keep picking winners.

NICKELBACK, I TRUELY BELIEVE THAT V TECH IS THE STRONGEST PLAY ON THE BOARD. THEY MIGHT AND SHOULD GO INTO MIAMI AND WIN OUT. MIAMI IS NOT THAT GOOD AND V TECH IS RIDING HIGH WITH SOME BIG WINS AGAINST SOME BIG TEAMS. I KNOW MIAMI IS TOUGH AT HOME BUT LOOK FOR V TECH TO TAKE THIS GAME TO THE WIRE. THIS SHOULD BE THE BIGGEST BIG EAST PLAY OF THE DAY.
I DO LIKE RUTGERS IN THIS SPOT THOUGH JUST THINK V TECH IS A BETTER PLAY.
AS FOR K ST, I TOOK COLORADO AS I BELIEVE THEY WILL WIN OUT. I WAS ON BYU LAST NITE AND THE WORLD WAS ON COL ST. SAME SITUATION, LOOK FOR THE BUFFALOS TO WIN OUT.
JUST MY THOUGHTS, WISH YOU THE BEST

I don't see how KY will lose at home... Blowing out quality teams on the road..... If someone takes GA ML.... They have huge
There is something to say for a must win, but that is very brave especially with how KY is just killing quality teams... I like ky -8.. (at home) I think they will shut Georgia down....

I really like Rutgers tonight at home, They've really been playing well as of late. The Hoyas are on a 5 game skid, I think the home team takes care of business tonight..Cabo...

GT Last White Player

GT Last White Player

If I'm not mistaken, last white player to play for GT was back in the mid-80s, Mike Lang whose father was the athletic director at the time. Guess John Thompson had to accept that "token". The tradition of only recruiting black players continues today. The fact John Thompson didn't even give Danny Ferry a look or invite when he was a local at Dematha High School tells me Thompson is a reverse "bigot"...and the fact he cried "bigotry" all those years was adding insult to injury as they say. That's one reason GT has played 2nd fiddle to Md all these years in the Wash DC area even today. Hell, eveyone knows BB is an African American sport.....but noone likes when the playing field isn't level to even get a look...guess it's "whities" turn to see what this type of latent discrimination is like....sorry, if I'm preaching, just saw a post above that asked this question and it touched a nerve.

Ok, narrowed my list to five plays for tonight. . . all are big plays:

Kansas State laying 3 over Colorado. . . every time I look into this game, I start liking it even more. Even over Rutgers, I think this is the best play on the board.

Rutgers +1 over Georgetown. . . figured the line would go GTown's way a little. . . might get hit back the other way before tipoff now so I think Rutgers should be taken right now. Tough home team. Sweetney is a factor of course, but this Rutgers team can handle him at home.

Moorehead St laying 3 over Tenn. Tech. . . just a statistically superior team playing at home. Shooting over 50%. . . gotta ride them when laying a low number.

Wisky laying 5 over Michigan State. . . buying the half point here for some reason. . . Just can't believe Vegas would issue a gift. . . they know damn well MSU covered a similar number at IU. Wisky should win by double digits tonight.

Georgia +8 over Kentucky. . . Bulldogs are a very good team. . . Kentucky has been destroying good teams, but they are due to letdown just a little. Just the same, Georgia fought hard at Tennessee and came up on the losing end. I think they fight even harder tonight and may come up with the outright win  Playing a little on the ML as well

That's all folks. . . probably playing too many games, but I like all of them a lot.
