Much much better looking card for Wednesday. . . lots of great plays:

Iowa -2 over Purdue BIG

A few points to bring in for this one: 1. System play 2. Iowa has had a lot of time to prepare for this one. 3. Purdue's starting center is out. Iowa should be well prepared for this one and ready to kick off the Big 10 season while Purdue needs to get their ducks in a row. Perfect situational play along with it being a system play.

Tennessee -6 over Georgia BIG

Another perfect situational play. . . Georgia is coming off a difficult win over their rival in Georgia Tech in OT. While everyone was all over Georgia Tech in that game, I expect the majority to ride Georgia after their great win and they (the public) will probably lose again! Pretty sure we see some kind of a letdown here and playing the Vols on their homecourt spells doom.

I don't guarantee much on this forum, but I will cut off my my left hand if Vol isn't on this play! LOL. . . I'm pretty sure he will be on this one whether he posts it here or not and I hope he doesn't mind me saying so ;)

Iowa State +1 over Missouri above average

The home team has won the last seven in this series. After two tough road losses, I expect State to come up with a win in this one.

NC State -3 over BYU above average

NC State has a few impressive wins at home. . . barring a huge shooting night for BYU (well over 50%) I think we'll be fine here.

Vandy -7 over Auburn average

Gotta ride this hot team playing at home with their top 25 ranking. I think they keep it after this game.

That's it from me. . . riding these 5 and calling it a day until Thursday.

West Coast,

A lot of money my friend. . . if I had to choose, I'd pick Iowa because they have had time to prepare for this game and Purdue isn't as stacked up front as they would like to be heading in to this contest. Not to mention it is a system play and I can't go wrong playing it. . . of course it could still lose but over the long run it won't.

You sure that's what you want to do? You'll have me nervous not because of my own money but because of yours!

I went ahead and played the Iowa ML instead of laying the 2 or 2.5 points as it is at 135 which I feel is more than reasonable and better value.

Alright Nickel Ml on Iowa it is. Ya I am positive I want to do. I went 0-5 with the last 5 plays I used of yours. They were played at minimal dollars. Now it is time to step it up as I see you hitting five in a row. Shoot no stress for me. I have practice at that time so I will come home and see the final. That is the only thing that matters. I see you getting hot the rest of this week. Good luck with your plays and go Iowa:D

Gl West Coast. . . some time later you'll have to tell me which five you lost on if you're able to remember. . . I'd assume one of them was Wyoming Saturday night which was a bad beat as we had that all the way until the end. But this is specifically why I like playing groups of plays and why I have the rating system that I have because if you lose one or two, the other games can minimize the damage and over the long run, we win.

Hey Nickel,
If you don't mind me asking, what system does Iowa fall under?

Play on any unranked home favorite over a ranked road dog. . . Vegas knows better than those who vote in the polls! Cashed extremely well last year so we'll see how it goes this year.

Go Hawks!

It doesn't hurt that some crazed hawkeye fan has purchased the domain: firestevealford.com, this just being reported yesterday. I'm sure Alford has heard by now, just might be another spark for the Hawks. Not to mention coming off the 20pt pounding by Mizzou. Carver-Hawkeye will be rocking tonight, should be the difference.

Just waiting for the old lady to get home so we can get on the road to Iowa City for the game tonight.
Good luck with your play on Iowa, but my money is on Purdue.
This Iowa team simply isn't very good, and a Gene Keady coached team is no match for Boy Blunder, er, Steve Alford. Yes, the Boilers are without their starting big men, but Iowa's big men ain't exactly murderer's row.
I like the points in what should be an ugly game to watch in person. Neither team can shoot free throws, but I think Purdue's shooting woes end tonight.
A play on the Under 135 looks good as well. Good luck!
