NYR/NJ - Gaborik and Nash both a minus 2......with too many star players crapping the bed on a nightly basis, this Rangers team needs to get it together quickly. Not having Callahan in the line-up hurts the Rangers on the right side. Their special teams are garbage.....with all that skill they went 0-5 again....incredible. NJ plays their system with little star power compared to the NYR, but it goes to show you, Devils do all the small things, whereas the Rangers are really lacking the team concept.

Pens/NYI - Isles were 0-7 on the PP, Pens PK was the diff tonight. Pitt brought the physical aspect tonight and its something you have to do with this Isles team to be successful.

Leafs/Caps - Didnt want much of this one....Ovechkin once again was just terrible......man he looks soooo slow out there, a minus two and was a non-factor. Scrivens was solid in the Leafs goal.

Kings/Jackets - Didnt see a minute of this game.

Flames/Wings - Man, Calgary is very successful at the JLA, dont know what it is but the Flames play very well in Detroit. Wings without 3 d-men and it is starting to show big time! Flames got secondary scoring tonight and 2 timely PP goals.

Sabres/Sens - I thought Anderson fought the puck a bit tonight......but it was good enough for the win. Vets all got in on the scoring.......and they needed it considering their offensive production the last 2 games. Alfie, Phillips, Neil and Karlsson all scored....when they have all 4 lines rolling.....and at home too boot they are a tough team. Enroth settled down as he didnt allow a goal for the 2nd half of the game, but by then it was too late having given up 4 goals. The one glaring stat that stands out for me in this one......faceoffs.......Sens won 37 of 52 faceoffs.......that number is outstanding!

TB/Philly - Didnt see any of this one either, sorry.

Preds/Blues - Elliott pulled after allowing 4 goals on 11 shots........Perron/Backes/Oshie each a minus 2. Preds had the legs and on their 7th game on the road in 15 days......incredible. It should have been the opposite.

Panthers/Jets - Really thought the Jets looked flat for huge chunks of the game. Jets were off the 3 game roadie but had 3 days off.......I expect them to have more energy with the Leafs in town on Thursday. In all honesty, a pretty boring game with a ton of mistakes on both sides. Jets score in OT, after a horrible display on the PP, but Little scores a beauty top shelf!

I really like this Avs team. Really starting to gel. Wouldn't be surprised to see them make a playoff run this year.

Inconsistent goaltending is hurting them right now.....plus not having their captain in the line-up. Naturally like any NHL team, the reason for Landeskog's injury isnt correct....otherwise he would have missed 1 game, it's now at 5 games and counting!

Avs - ML(+102) for 3 Units
Just got this nice line at Pinny! I like the fact that the Avs have 5 days off after this one, so you can expect them to put alot of emphasis on this game, knowing there is no chance at getting points in the standings until Feb. 11th. Teams that have layoffs during the shortened season will put alot of emphasis on these type of games. Ducks arent the same team on the road, they have a tough stretch coming up with this 6 game roadie!

Couldn't agree more. I think varlamov will figure it out. They just need to keep putting him out there every night. The compressed schedule is a killer for injuries. That being said guys are stepping up in landeskog's absence.

Habs - ML(-107) for 1 Unit
Montreal is playing a ton of games at home to start the season and have benefitted from it, tonight will be one of those signature games for the Habs against a division rival. Price has been hot and I will take the home side with the better goaltending in this one. Should be a heck of a crowd tonight!

He definitely needs to be the guy here......Giguere is a solid back up but not a starter.
