Although I agree we need to get them out of here, they are doing the best they can... it's not their fault... they aren't properly trained and they were basically thrown out there... But yeah someone needs to settle the bullshit so we can get the real officials back

TOTALLY AGREE with that comment....cant blame refs but Commish and greedy owners.......its sucks and I think refs are getting worse and not better. Week #1 was better than week #2 and week #3 combined!

Did you see the hit Shaub took.....lost a piece of his ear on a helmet to helmet and no flag! Players are getting away with A LOT!

"the bunker"
then i think they should shut the whole league down until the refs get everything they want...after all,everybody`s doing so well in this economy...why shouldn`t these lawyers/businessmen get a ridiculously lucrative deal tied to their second jobs?.....i mean,it`s not like there are thousands of lower level refs that would kill for their gig...:SIB

/////////

then you mofos that keep bitching week in and week out can actually do something productive on sundays....i know it`ll make plenty of wives and girlfriends happy....

this whole thing falls on the backs of the "greedy" refs....not the replacements or the owners....they`re the reason for the situation...nobody else...why is that so difficult to understand?

so you have to decide...would you rather have no football?...or football officiated by decent people who were thrown into a shitty situation?...and are trying the best they can to do a decent job under difficult circumstances....

lord,stop believing everything the media feeds you...buncha fricking sheep...

Garden and I usually agree with you, not here. The NFL is a mega-corporation. Their revenues escalating every second, you can't watch a game without 1 million commercials and every other thing. The referees are not making extravagant money 140,000
is not out of line in the $9 billion industry. From what I heard, the referees agreed new officials get the 401(k), officials grandfathered in. Keep what they bargained for. Why should they take a hit when the league is making more and more money. And then going to get another huge television bump in two years. Pay the referees, or this thing is going to turn into a European soccer riot.

That and now the whole world is seeing how important competent refs are to the entire game/industry. Give them what they are asking. It's fair and clearly good for everyone.:0008
