The Cats are in Omaha to take on the Creighton BlueJays at noon eastern at CenturyLink, not an easy place to play. Nova is+1/150.
Creighton is a run and gun club who lives and dies beyond the arc. They are ranked 6th nationally in offensive efficiency due to their plethora of 3?s. Last out they lost a gut wrench OT?er to Marquette. They are led by a stud named Tyshon Alexander at 17 ppg. He hits 3?s at Over a 40% clip. Mitch Ballock hits at 48% beyond the arc and Zagarowski is at 50%. They can shoot! Defense? Well...that?s another thing.
As for the Cats, Omaha has not been a friendly place for them. Creighton is desperate for a Big East Win but so was DePaul, Providence and St John?s. I really think this is a good spot for a win this time. Marquette blew a 10 point lead in the second half to Seton Hall Saturday before rallying for a narrow victory. They were tired after that overtime game vs. Creighton. I can see Creighton fading badly in the second half, too. Nova has turned it on in the second half in all three Big East wins.
So, no Teaser or total play today! Villanova +1 to the bank!
