The 14-4 Wildcats are in Indianapolis to take on the 12-7 Butler Bulldogs. Tip is 7:00 pm eastern. Butler is -1.5/142.
The Bulldogs are fresh off of a pasting of St John?s where Kamar Baldwin who leads them in points, rebounds, steals and assists tossed in 30. Jordan Tucker hit 6 three?s and scored 24 points. Butler believes knocking off 18th ranked Nova after beating Tournament bound St. John?s will help solidify their resume come March. Butler is 9-1 at home this year.
Nova has won six straight and is 5-0 in the Big East. The Cats have not fared well vs Butler in Indy. In fact, the Bulldogs shot over 67% a year ago in their win over the Cats. But this is a different year.
It?s highly likely that defense will dominate here. As both clubs shot 44% from deep last out, I would expect the shooting percentages to recede tonight. This will be a war and a close game.
