Nova Report
The Wildcats are up in Columbus, Ohio to do battle with the 16th ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. Ohio State is-3/131.5. The Buckeyes will play methodically vs the Cats and focus on tough defense which is their hallmark. Coach Holtmann, a good friend of Jay Wright, is one of 3 coaches to have knocked off Nova twice in one season. He did that with Butler who played hard nosed, physical defense. Expect the same tonight. Ohio State has a future first round NBA player in Junior Kaleb Wesson. The rest of the team, like Nova, are youngsters. Guard CJ Walker will be the quickest man on the court and will give Nova?s guards fits. Defensive and 3 point specialist, Andre Wesson, will be out with an eye injury for the Buckeyes.
The Wildcats will take their youngsters on the road to a hostile environment for the first time. While Nova is slightly taller and more athletic, life on the road may be a neutralizer. The Buckeyes will struggle with Sophomore Saddiq Bey and Freshman Jeremiah Robinson-Earl. Hopefully, they can pile up fouls on Kaleb Wesson as Ohio State is lost without him. Expect a low scoring affair that will get decided on the foul line.
My bet will be a 5 point teaser: Nova+8/Under 136.5.
Note: line presently at Nova+2.5/126.5....sharps pounded Under
