Finally grabbed my first win in the POD yesterday, and hopefully I can start a winning streak...

Hope you don't mind me using the space MOV, but with limited postings I thought I would add a write up to my POD...

Detroit @ New york
The tigers played the yanks close last night and if not for a costly error by Higgy and a play at the plate the tigers would have tied it up late last night.

Lima gets the edge in the pitching matchup. In his last three he has posted a whip of 1.00, and the tigers have been giving him gobs of run support at 7.3 runs per game. he already has a win over the yanks this year and has won three out of his last four starts.
Lilly has been in some trouble of late. The tigers pounded him once this year and the yankees have lost six of his last nine starts.

In the hitting department, the tigers have a one point average advantage over the yankees. The tigers are hitting lefties at .311 while the yanks are hitting righties at .310 in the last ten.

Slight edge to the tigers bullpen has mendoza and rivera did see some work last night however both are available for tonight's game.

POD: Tigers +160

Keep an eye on Bobby Higginson

vs. Lilly 3 for 4 .750
vs. Rivera 4 for 9 .444 1 HR

Higgy's error in the game allowed the yanks to score an extra run in last night's game and I look for him to try and make up for it tonight.

Kulpa gets the call behind the plate and he is anything but a homer as the home team has won just 4 out of 21 games he has umped.
