Just some quick info about TCU's bowl record recently.

TCU's last 6 out of 7 bowl games were decided by 7 or less points. The only one that wasn't was the 2006 Poinsettia Bowl against No Illinois. Final score was 37-7.

It's going to be hard for the team to get excited about this bowl. Not only has TCU played San Diego St there in conference play, but TCU played in this bowl in 2006 and 2007.

Coach Patterson has told the team they can either be on an 8 game winning streak or a one game losing streak heading into the Big XII. A win allows them to be ranked pre-season next year or unranked.

JUST RUNNING THRU SOME OF THE BOWL MATCH UPS AND HAVE TO SAY THEY ARE A LITTLE DISAPPOINTING OUTSIDE OF MAJOR BOWLS AND I WILL BE FIRST TO SAY VA TECH GOT A GIFT IN GETTING INVITED TO THE SUGAR.

ANY WHO....THOUGHT TCU RANKED 16 AND BAYLOR RANKED 15 WOULD HAVE MADE A GOOD BOWL GAME AND COULD HAVE DRAWN GOOD ATTENDANCE SOMEWHERE INSTEAD OF THE TWO TEAMS THEY DREW INSTEAD.

JUST MY OPINION

Don't know if that was a typo, but TCU wound up #18 in BCS poll. If they were #16, then they would have earned auto bid to Sugar.

MWC bowl tie-ins suck. There was no way out of Poinsettia once TCU ended up #18.
