my brother plays on poker stars and absuloute poker. He plays in free rolls. he won 1st place with 6000 people playing and won $29.00. He plays free games all the time and has won several times with over 3000 playing. I told him he needs to play for real in the 50 to 200 games. He said no way because even if he won he could't get his money back to him in the states. What can I say to change his mind?

Why cant he get paid? Friends of mine who live in the U.S. and play on absolute get payouts all the time.
Absolute is the absolute scummiest, crookedest site in the history of online poker. If anyone is playing there, they need their heads examined.
It's been exposed as being flawed with superuser and accounts, multiple bots, and the owner playing where he can see all the cards as well.
Google, or read the 300 page thread on 2 + about it. If you are playing there or at ultimate bet you really are doing yourself a disservice and probably getting scammed.
Poker stars, party poker (non us ips) and full tilt are the only reputable places out there. Although full tilt slow slow mule pays, they still pay and so do stars and party.

And I agree with BDB, DO NOT put money on Absolute, that is why I took my money out of there and it took them a good while to send my check. On top of the other things he quoted, their software absolutely SUCKS, you can watch paint dry it is so slow:scared
