Why do 4 out of 5 polls say American's are aginst war. Only Fox news Poll favors war. I can tell you why but I believe most know why Fox would be differant then the rest of America. It does seem more Americans are worried about right here at home. I beieve we have to do tons more at home to. I also believe we should stay after the 9/11 folks tilll we have done abetter job of that. We have Saddam contained at this time so we can get his ass in 3 weeks or 6 months. Im still pissed at the countries that help with 9/11. When we going to complete that job. I want there asses. Iraq can wait. He has only 1/2 of the chit left from 1991 because no one can sell him anymore plains or tanks. He ours when we want him. Now lets fininsh the job we started and seemed to have forgotten about. Did all the folks die for nothing in those towers.

the polls differ cause they poll different areas..

the democrates own 90% of our media.. when they poll,
they poll in highly democratic areas... tree hugers and minorities and what not..

while fox polls in areas were people acutally vote..

Fair and balanced that is Fox! That is what they say. And they couldn't say it if it wasn't true!

Not sure what fare/balanced anymore. Talk radio 2 of 3 top shows conservative shows. No one has heard of Liberal radio.
Fox news easly at 70/30 conservative. On Sundays 100% you think there sleeping with Gerry Farwells gang there so far right. CNN 50/50. Maybe 60/40 consevative. NBC 60/40. ABC/CBS 70/30 all liberal. But ABC/CBS 0nly get your attetion 1 or 2 hours a day. Cable with Fox/CNN go 24 hours. So I cant get to 90% liberal.
Papers in this country are 50/50. But not to many read them like they use to so not sure if they even count. So in a way its ok to have the differance it show where America is right now. My guess closer to 50/50.

djv, I don't know what polls you are looking at, but every poll I see is 3 to 1 in favor of war!

If you think CNN is 50/50 or 60/40 conservative you are out of your mind. They don't call it the Clinton News Network for nothing...

Up until 9-11 the media has always leaned to the left. Fox news took a chance and leaned to the right and have dominated the ratings wars ever since. It's obvious that the majority of TV veiwing Americans are sick and tired of listening to the Kooks on the left.

Stewy, theGibber1, My hope for the future is a few more independent thinkers. We could use a few folks that think outside of the normal Left or Right box. Seems since the 70's we just here same chit over and over.

djv,

I completely agree with your last post. I find it strange that some people either side with the democrats or with the republicans on every issue. I don't follow any specific party, it depends on the issue. I also would like to see more independent thinking on the issues of the day.

Bill Oreily is an independent, although he definately leans to the right on about every issue.

DJV is an independent, although he definately leans to the left on about every issue.

I happen to agree with the Republicans on the majority of issues that I am worried about. I have a sever dislike for Liberal policies such as gutting the Military and CIA and buy minority votes with all of their hand out programs. ( to give one example) Soft foreign policy such as the way Carter handled the Iranian hostage crisis or the way Clinton handled Somalia ( the Somalia incident in the early 90's was just sickening).

The typical liberal debate is too disagree with Bush no matter what he does or says and then offer no real solution.

Stewy I may have a Left slant. But some of that came from being so far right good part of my life I wanted to have a more open view of things. I still have some Right deep in my bones. All I ask now when my governmnet gets ready for not just war. But polices on health care and so many others issues. Give me both sides give me good data. Do not hand out old data. Old data can be thrown in both parties faces for both of there screw up's through out the years. It's time for both to get more to the future. They both seem to say much of the same. And so much of it is old. Even with Iraq much of the info were dealing with is old.
We go to war I'll back by President and this country all the way. Im still hoping after being in one myself once and seeing the evils of that war. Somehow we find another way.
