IM SITTING HERE TEXTING MY BUDDY BITCHING BC I HAD MICH -4 AND THEY ARE UP 4 AND FLA ST MISSES 3 AND DOES NOT FOUL WITH 12 SEC ON CLOCK.....THEY COME BACK FROM COMMERCIAL AND KENNY SMITH SAYING SAME THING....THEN THEY GO TO POST GAME INTERVIEW WITH COACH HAMILTON AND HE ACTS LIKE ITS ABSURD THAT SHE ASK HIM WHY HE DIDNT FOUL....QUOTE ?THE GAME WAS OVER?....SHE SAID YOU WERE DOWN 4 WITH 12 SEC AND THEY HAD MISSED A FEW DOWN THE STRETCH SO DONT YOU GIVE YOUR SELF A CHANCE TO EXTEND GAME....HE LOOKED LIKE A CROOKED POLITICIAN SQUIRMING AND TRYING TO CHANGE SUBJECT.

I DONT CARE WHAT ANYBODY SAYS, IM NOT GOING TO SAY THESE GAMES ARE FIXED BUT I DO KNOW THEY ARE HEAVILY INFLUENCED WHEN IT COMES TO THE SPREAD...MICH CONTROLLING GAME DOWN STREATCH UP 10 2 MIN LEFT...THEY GIVE THE OLD WINK WINK...YOU WIN BUT WE ARE GOING TO MAKE IT CLOSE...THEY GET IT TO THE NUMBER AND CALL IT A NIGHT...A LOT OF BOOKS HAD 4.5.

Saved my ass! Had Florida St +5 & +4.5 so won a game I thought was done. My buddy who also had FSU +4.5 thought same thing that Seminoles wanted to make sure game landed on 4... glad it saved me!

I WAS ON CLEMSON YESTERDAY AND KNEW THAT IT WAS A GIFT WHEN I GOT A WIN...USUALLY ON THE OTHER SIDE SO I FEEL YA. THE FUNNY THING HERE IS THAT IT TYPICALLY ISNT MENTIONED BUT WHEN KENNY SMITH WAS TALKING ABOUT AND THEN THAT INTERVIEW AND SHE CALLED HIM OUT...HE THOUGHT HE WAS ON 60 MINUTES

He handled that about as poorly as possible. Condescending posture, absurd responses. I?d bet he was insulating his team from Weber-like scars. Kids on the floor lost awareness. No fix. His contract incentives for advancing dwarf any side alley handshake.

That said, I lost by a hook and still hate it.

I was also on the wrong side, or I probably wouldn?t be posting! Kevin Harlan said FSU didn?t foul because Michigan was shooting so well from the free throw line? So why not foul with 11-12 seconds left, be down by 6, attempt a 3 pointer and be down 3 with maybe 3-4-5 seconds left? Isn?t that basketball? Not to mention the commentators were remarking how poorly Michigan was shooting at the line just a minute or two prior to that last possession, in the midst of the FSU 8-1 run. Also remember him saying they probably didn?t foul because they didn?t have any time outs left to call and set up a play.....hmmmmmm. Thought that was an instinct to foul and send them to the line in hopes of a miss and a half court buzzer beater!!! I?m not saying it was fixed but it?s just funny how it all works out sometimes. I also see many times when teams are down by a lot more than 4 fouling up until that 20-30 second time, sending a total over the mark, seemingly for no reason. 4 points is nothing anymore with the talent these kids have in shooting 3?s. Oh well, win some and lose some but it?s been a tough post season for me undoubtedly.

I'm sure they were told who and who not to foul the kid with ball was a 90% free throw shooter. Maybe defender it was drilled in his head but who knows?

Shlep, good point! That would definitely help explain the confused look to the sideline when in position to foul with 11 seconds left. Also makes the fact that the games aren?t truly fixed more palatable!! Ha. Losing a bet doesn?t mean games are fixed, but mentally it always makes a person wonder! Hindsight is typically 20/20, and fouling seemed like the obvious choice to me, but again I had Michigan. I?m a glass half full guy and know in the end it will even out. Just frustrated. Liking two favorites today for what it?s worth. Good luck to all and I appreciate everyone?s posts and hard work.

Down only 4 with 11 secs to go in a do or die game, you fight to the end. This was to go to the final four, not any away conference game mid season.... Hell, Purdue was still fouling TT with a minute left and down 15 points. Of course I had the under and the drawn out end pushed it over, but that is the way a team is supposed to go down...

Look at most of these games all determining the spread on last play of games that mean nothing to outcome, only spread. You honestly think they didn't foul there because they had +4 or 4.5? Every game ends as crazy as that look at the totals same score same situation sometimes they foul out sometimes they don't. Yes 11 seconds is a long time not to foul but Id chalk it up to a brain fart of a 18-20 year old kids that were thinking foul the worst shooter not the first guy you can grab with 11 secs, and as far as the coach what did you want him to say my kid was an idiot not fouling the first one that touched the ball or cover up for the kids stupidity. Disclaimer I had Kansas and Michigan and every other awful beat in this tournament, bad luck bad beats not fixed games or to much money on the line. COME ON MAN.

I ABSOLUTELY THINK FSU CAME TO WIN THE GAME BUT WHEN IT GOT TO A CERTAIN PT TOWARDS THE END WHEN MICH WAS CLEARLY RUNNING AWAY 2 MIN LEFT, I DO BELIEVE THEY ALL ARE AWARE OF THE LINE...IT IS POSTED EVERYWHERE AND DISCUSSED OPENLY.
