wow,two teams in a slump.Marist has lost 3 str and have won 3 of last 12.Iona also has lost 3 str,is 3-7 since they beat Iona 74-54 and are 1-10 on the road and 1-7 in the MAAC on the road.
DeShawn has been suspended.He was avg 18 pts a game.He mised the friday nite shootout and Ruland suspended him just before the game.
Marist is ranked almost dead last in ,FT%,FG%,3 pt FG%,offense,etc,etc.
Iona is 1st or 2nd in scoring,FG%,3 pt%Blocked shots,APG's but dead last in defense.
Marist has been getting beat bad where Iona has lost 4 of 5 times by 1,2,or 4 pts.
DeShawn had 23 pts in last game.
Iona has so many quick gds.Marist will play their zone and Iona has shooters.Think Iona gets a rare road win.
Manhattan -14.5 over Siena **
thats a lot of pts.Small play for Flores and co.They already beat them in Albany by 22 and flores had 29 pts.Flores is now 5th in the nation in scoring.Bobby G is leaving him in games to pad his pts.Thast good.Esp if MC is up by 10 or 11 pts with a few minuts to play.Jaspers can get the cover on Flores FT's because the bastard never misses.
Rutgers -7.5 over VT ***
RU has lost 2 in a row.VT has won a couple.But VT must play in the RAC where RU is 10-1.They have beaten ND,Prov,Miami at home.RU shooter cannot shoot on the road but are deadly at home.This is a wake up call game.Walters is upset.Lama-lama-Ding dong has 2 off bds in his past 2 games.Douby is 0-15 on the road,etc,etc,etc,
Mathews is tough to contain but RU's pressure defense should prevail.VT is a terrible FT team.RU wins this by 10.
Pitt -1.5 over Conn **
Payback game.Pitt at home will be to tough for Conn.Conn is a better team,more talent,etc but home court is the big advantage.Pitt did a great job on Okafor in round 1 in loss.Conn on road is mortal.Lost to ND by 14,struggled with BC but won,beat Rutgers by 1 and lost to NC by a few.
