Preseason Play #15
Miami -6 -105 over Atlanta (2 smiles)
Hate laying points in preseason, but these look tempting to TAKE, so I feel better about laying them. As documented by about 50 people, 0-2 teams are a solid proposition in the preseason, especially when at home. Atlanta's backups have looked fairly dreadful early on, blowing the huge lead to Green Bay and staggering through last week's game against the Ravens. Miami needs a win to gather a bit of momentum and it has been well publicized that they will give their starters extended time in this one. While I usually avoid playing AGAINST teams with injuries, I don't feel that applies in the preseason. No one is really looking to step up and win this "big game." Likewise, with the media circus that has been hovering around Falcon camp status the post the Vick injury, they are ripe for distractions. I'll lay the points for a 2 smile play.
Tomorrow's card later this evening. Good luck everyone.
