went 4-2 last week to raise my record to 7-5 during the preseason....

i may have only 1 bet for this week....

giants-3 (125)....

imo this is a good situational play...

giants looked awful against the bears last week while the jets are coming off a hard fought 1 point loss to the ravens last night.....

all the ny newspaper's has portrayed coughlin as not being happy with their performance against the bears........& as defensive end tuck said that their performance ?...leaves a bad taste. it?s the preseason, but we didn?t do what we wanted to.?....in 4 series, eli was sacked twice, fumbled once & was called for intentional grounding while leading the giants to only 4 first downs & no points.....

coughlin, like most NFL head coaches, uses week 3of the preseason as the regular season tune-up game, so i expect a significantly more inspired performance on both sides of the ball.....

on the other hand, i think the jets will be a little flat coming off a short week & off a hard fought game against head coach ryan?s former team (balt) where the jets battled to the end...

i think the giants own both the focus & the talent advantages in this game....

good luck...

i decided to play another game or 2...

adding....

s.f.+7....

i'm looking for singletary to try to make some kind of a statement in this game for his young team against 1 of the top teams in the nfc.....

dallas is 1-1 in this preseason & is coming off a blowout 20 pt win over tenn. in what looked like a statement game for the boys in their new stadium.....while sf is coming into this game at 2-0 su, but 0-2 ats.....s.f. should have success running the ball against the dallas defense because in their 2 games so far this preseason, they are averaging 206 rushing yards per game while oakland ran for 176 yards against dallas earlier this preseason......on the other hand i don?t expect the boys qbs in this game to complete 76% of their passes as they did against tenn. because that was a rarity.....

dallas coach wade phillips is 2-4 su off a game where his team scored 30 or more points.....road teams with exactly 2 wins are 43-19 ats (70%) when the home team has just i win....

play on - underdogs of 3.5 to 10 points (s.f.) - after 2 or more consecutive straight up wins, in week 4 of the preseason.....

since 1993 the ats record is....23-4......85.2%

i think singletary has the 49ers believing.....

good luck...

Yeah, I'm a bit worried about anyone who calls Homer 'cute'! :142smilie

Just a word AR...Hill, named the 49ers' starting quarterback Monday, threw one pass in a team session Wednesday morning before retiring to the sideline to watch Damon Huard and Nate Davis run the offense.

With Alex Smith out of Saturday's game with a sprained right thumb and Hill day-to-day with his strained back, 13-year veteran Huard ran the first offense in the afternoon practice

Just read it then.

QB Hill back under center for 49ers
By JANIE McCAULEY
AP Sports Writer

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) -- Quarterback Shaun Hill returned to practice for the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday and deemed himself healthy to play Saturday night at Dallas.

Hill left Wednesday's training camp workout after throwing one pass because of a strained lower back that he injured Tuesday, and coach Mike Singletary said he was unsure of Hill's status for the Niners' third exhibition game against the Cowboys.

Hill, named the regular-season starting QB Monday by Singletary over Alex Smith, said his back calmed down "quite a bit" and said it was never a major concern to him.

thanks ie & southbeach...appreciate the info...

here is something on dallas...

Wide receiver Roy Williams suffered a sprained left shoulder at practice Thursday night, according to multiple sources. He did not suffer a broken bone, but it is not clear how much time Williams will miss. A prolonged absence would be a blow to an offense that is looking to Williams to play a major role.
