nflx....5-2

again will play small (1*)this week....

chi.+3(-140@olympic)....

think the bears will be more motivated for this game & also indy will continue trying out many new faces on defense because of losses due to injuries & free agency.

also fwiw i read a few trends that pertain to this game that i thought was interesting...

since 1990 defending superbowl champs are 1-14 ats as favorites in game 2 of the preseason....& throughout his coaching career, dungy is 2-7 su/ats as game 2 preseason chalk...

i think chicago wins this game su but took the 3 just in case..

good luck...

adding....

sd(p)....

first i'm not a fan of norv turner as a head coach...but read this angle & thought it was worth a small play....

play on any nfl preseason road dog (or pick) off a su home loss of 7>points as a favorite of -3 > vs, an opponent off a su road win...

since 1983 the ats record is 15-0

last week the the rams beat minn on the road & sd lost as a 3.5/4 point favorite

also played cinn-3

good luck..

Good luck as always AR. :toast:

Too bad for the rest of us you single handedly moved those lines 2-3 points tho! ;)

thanks guys...appreciate it.

mr c...it's probably the large bets of $100 that i'm playing for the nflx that is moving those numbers...lol.

btw..the sd play was made yesterday afternoon at wsex....& the greek still has the same line on the indy/chi. game...which i'm becoming suspicious about...

6*n.e.-5....

imo this game is the home game where the pats get a chance to show some of their stuff for the hometown fans.next week they'll be on the road & the following week they'll be home for the final preseason game. but those games tend to be nothing more than scrimmages, for fear of getting anybody hurt right before the start of the season.

last week ne lost to tb in a game where they weren't sharp while tenn.was beating wash up until the last few minutes of the game.this scenario reminds me of last year's situation where the pats also lost lost by 3 points in their preseason opening game & responded with a 30-3 preseason home blowout in game 2.

i also think that tenn.is still a work in progress for the upcoming season for a variety of reasons...i read that young will take about 12 snaps from center for this game (missing last week's game hurt his development)....,they had a few free agency defections at wide receiver & haven't really replaced anybody there....,they lost their top 2 runners from last year so they'll be trying a few different people there....,& are very thin a defensive line because of injuries & are trying people off the street there.

i think the pats win this game rather easily...

good luck.

thanks bej...appreciate it.

here's something that i found on the espn website concerning last year's game between these 2 teams...hopefully n.e. will remember it...

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- New England safety Rodney Harrison hurt his right leg when blocked in the second quarter Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, left the game and never returned.

Harrison went to the ground and slapped the turf after being blocked by Titans receiver Bobby Wade, whose helmet appeared to hit Harrison's right knee in a low block. He walked off the field on his own.

"Everyone was pretty mad about it," New England quarterback Tom Brady said.

"You keep your poise and try to let your play do the talking. I think sometimes we stooped down to the level we're playing against. We've got to find ways to overcome that type of play."

Sexlexia...
I also read that NE are effectively game-planning for Young aswell.
They want to 'practice' containing mobile QB's.

I agree that I don't think Tenn score much...depending on who plays on the other side (Moss, Stallworth, Jackson, Watson, Brady (TE) and Thomas all missed game 1 I believe) I was looking pretty closely at the under...

Good Luck

Always a lot of good info in your threads. You are one of a handful here that I make a point of reading their stuff. Appreciate your efforts.

Best of luck
