Hou + @ SEA:

Houston is trying to win the second of back-to-back games for the first time this season after a 111-105 overtime victory Wednesday to Golden State. The Rockets are 0-4 in second games, losing by an average of 11.3 points

re Total: Seattle is allowing a league-high 105.1 points per game after allowing only 96.6 a season ago. The Sonics have yielded an average of 117 points in losses to the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors on this homestand.

"Your offense is going to be up and down," said coach Bob Weiss, in his first year with Seattle. "Where you have to be steady is on your defense and that's where we've been having problems.

Sa - @ MINN:

Michael Finley will make his second straight start after scoring a season-high 21 points Tuesday. Finley scored seven of the Spurs' 11 points in overtime

Minnesota remains without backup guard Troy Hudson, who missed his fourth straight game with a strained calf but may see action Thursday.

"We need his points," Timberwolves coach Dwane Casey said. "We need his scoring. AC's (Anthony Carter's) given us everything and guys off the bench are playing hard, but we're struggling to score."

Den + @ CLV:

Denver is 2-0 this season when Anthony scores 40 points, and is 4-0 when he reaches 30.

Cleveland won five of its first six games this season when James scored 30, but has lost six of its last seven when he has reached that plateau.

James, who scored an NBA season-high 52 points in a 111-106 loss Saturday to the Milwaukee Bucks, was again electrifying in a losing effort Tuesday with 39 points on 13-of-23 shooting in a 100-94 home loss to the Atlanta Hawks.

The All-Star forward, who turns 21 on Dec. 30, has scored 36.2 points over the last six games, but the Cavs are 1-5 during that span.

Saturday's loss dropped Cleveland to 0-2 when James scores 50.

The Over in HOU game looks better than side--though would lean to Rockets. Think seattle's best bet is to outrun with what looks like a better ebnch on papaer and wear down rockets with high tempo

personally, i'm not sold on Minny, so side w/ SA and small line looks like the play--with both teams playing mostly UNDERS lately, would think law of avgs has this going over???--perhaps. Finley starting certainly doesnt hurt--though think parker will be difference

Got bit by CLV giving 8+ last time I visted them VS Nets team--in which Cle had no answer for Vince Carter--which allowed every other NJ Net to take what they wanted--even though Cavs surged late, were outplayed throughout. GLA
