thanks guys, you're saints :) (only in this case to you tho S-Love, since you regularly pick on some wonderful people from here ;) )

have only looked at one link so far (s-loves) and guessing IE's is about the same... does this normally mean the first and second place teams are guaranteed first round byes in double elim?)

AHHHHH.... thanks for the first round bye info :) as a HORRIBLE mom moment here, i have to say i'm SICK of baseball/softball games ALREADY!!! used to the boy child playing a 12 game season and the girl child playing 10 games...WELL, now that we're back in Iowa and he's in little league rather than park and rec, he has a 20 game season (3 games left with a record of 16-1), followed by a double elimination tourney (where i'm trying to figure out which days he plays that will interfere with softball games that i should be going to) and to top it off, he had try outs today for the 9 and 10 year old all star team (insert EVIL mother here, that is PRAYING he doesn't make it) the all stars here will start practicing on next thursday, and practice EVERY FREAKEN DAY that they don't have games from now until the end of July) :(

you can't believe how happy i am to hear that there will at least be a break in the first round of tournament!!!!!!!

geeze, sounds like a lot of pressure to put on a little leaguer (not by you, BM, but by whoever makes them practice that much). That's crazy.

yeah, six... that would have been BRUTAL.... luckily, they only took major leaguers for the all-star team, so we aren't dealing with THAT in all this heat!!!! (also luckily, he couldn't make the 2 try-outs required to be on majors since we still lived in MN at the time, and he is playing in IA, cuz the kid AND his team are awesome!!!!!)

here is a link to the final standings after regular season for his team....(he plays for Runge Mortuary), and their only loss was 15-14..... look at the points scored for and against as a ratio :D

hopefully they can keep on winning thru the now SINGLE elimination tourney next thursday and friday.

the girl childs team is doing well this year also... they are 5-1 with 6 games left.

(and the boy child was SOOOOOOO proud of himself at practice last night...he put THREE over the fence....of course they were practicing at the 150 foot fence rather than the normal 205 they play at, but he didn't care...LOL....to him, over the fence was over the fence)
