Less than 72 hours to go, I said about a month ago you would drag it out as long as possible you insisted you were FORMULATING A WORTHWHILE STRATEGY.

Uh huh. You mean the same 'dog+under' strategy youve employed in all your other picks?

OK well good luck with that. All picks must be completed before Sunday, so hope you have some locks in your bag of tricks.

I am going home this weekend for a funeral of a good high school friend of mine who died in a snowmobiling accident last week in Northern New Hampshire, so its been a bad week for me too. I know one of your friends moms is sick, this doesnt mean I dont feel bad for you.

Fletch you can email me through my email address on my page under free picks.

Its my username at excite dot com.

Why dont I think I like where this is headed? I really, really hope I am wrong about this. So if this is not financial related, I apologize and I will delete this entire rant, but Jack said in the Superbowl thread the reason he wasnt going to the party partially was.

I cant believe the incessent, nonstop, badgering, berating shit I took from him after I wanted to make it $100 and he wanted to make it $600. Like the quote said, he borrowed money from all his friends to embarass and humiliate me, topush me, to make an issue out of it and he made damn sure I knew about it. And he made damn sure every post he made refered to me being unemployed and not being able to find a job and borrowing money from my fiance and in general not being well off - which ended 6 months ago BTW. But he wont let up, right up to the post I made last week about buying my first house, check the thread if you think I make this up, he is still badgering my fiance and insulting my finances in almost every thread I post in.

Hopefully its not an issue, but frankly he will get the same treatment from me as he gave to me. He wanted to keep my personal financial problems right out there in public, he didnt give two shits about what I went through last summer. All I have to say is karma's a bitch.

And hey, back up a minute, I havent won yet, this contest is not over.

As for the funeral, he was not even 30. Guy always loved snowmobiling up there where you can run wide open all day and no one is around to bug you. 30 years old. Keep trying to convince me theres a god.

No not at all i fiured you would see my post here it is a sports question i will email you, might be in the am have to pick some people up at airport and been running all day so i will be beat and go out fast when i get back. As far as double p goes he is a yong college who is going through a rough time and i know he can be harsh at times but he is a good kid and i am sure he will pay up, but i talk to him from time to time he works hard to put himself through college i know he comes off harsh like i said but he is a good kid inside and this comes from someone who wanted to ring his neck about a year ago, but when the shield is dropped from the net that we all have he is a good kid and yes he has a very close friend arite like his family who's mom is very sick none of it is made up, he is just young and learning life as we all did at his age, and i admire the struggle he has gone through to be able to keep himself in college i would admire anyone that does what he has, i was lucky come from a family who was not hurting for cash and also had a full ride down in fl thanks to baseball, to do it on my own i would not even of gone to college let alone get 2 degrees sports was a big reason that i did go, never liked going to school and then go figure went on to get my masters in ot (still can't spell though) something i am or was born with i guess never gave it much thought. but he has over come a lot and anyone who has done what he has i do admire like i said i was lucky in 2 ways family was not major rich but was and is far from hurting then had the sports also, so i had a easier road then most , he has not so like him or not he has worked hard to get where he is, same as doc and bama on this site they have worked hard for what they wanted so they go in this group also, will get you fri or late tonight when i get back. i am sure as tough as it is you will get paid because he is very proud maybe to proud , he had no business making that kind of bet with you but a lesson he learned. take care i found your email in my book dah.

Hey eric, feel free to email me whenever. Sorry I cant see you guys again this year, but I am thankful at least my little business is so busy, definitely beats the alternative which I have been through ad mauseum. You know, I appreciate what he is going through. Back in 00-02 I worked a full time consulting job and a weekend job to put myself through business school and still carry 40k in loans from it. I spent 10 months without work and busting my ass to try to get something, anything last year. All I got from him was him being offsensive, insulting and crass not only to me but to my fiance as well - post after post after post after post after freaking post. Go back to the time around when this contest was conceived and read the shit he was writing.

Look I have been through tough times, everyone around here knows this. So if I come off to some of you as insincere or not caring enough, very sorry. I offered from the beginning to keep this "friendly" at $100. He railed me for that and went on and on about not being man enough to handle a $600 bet. He made these choices.

i know you busted it to get going and took lot of flack don't think you are being hard on him, it is a hard lesson he is going to learn and that lesson is to know when to know when your pride is going to get you in trouble, i will get with you in the am and sure we will catch you next year, good luck with the new house and congrats on getting it. something to be very proud of and you like to work on things so now you will enjoy doing some of the fix ups that you want, me i suck at doing anything like that , i am good with sprinklers and times and pumps, also landscaping come from having to do it at a few of the smaller colleges i started out in coaching at , not all schools have 5-7 full time grounds keepers for sports so you learn:D

Ace- you wouldn't be human if you didn't feel or react to PP the way you are, but just remember we are all keyboard warriors here. I know it is hard to not get P.O.'ed, especially when you know PP would probably be rubbing salt in the wound if the tables were turned. He is just learning things the hard way as we all have- or will. (AR 182 had an excellent post about separating the real world from the Internet.) Sorry for the loss of your friend and the personal sickness close to PP.

Fletcher- you may not be able to spell much, but your words sure make up for it. I'm glad I'm as old as I am cause I wouldn't want to go through the roller coaster I've been on up to now. Hopefully I'll always get a good view@ the top before the following free fall...Chan:142squint

Chanman, as I reflected on it last night and now that I have some sleep under my belt, I know you are right on both accounts. I should feel for him more, because I went through the same thing. I also know he would be pounding on me in capital letters if I lost (or lose, as this contest is not over). So I am comfortable in my stance.

Thanks for the kind words. Nothing like starting SuperBowl weekend at a funeral with a couple hundred kids you went to school with. Got to understand, I grew up in a town of 2,500 with a graduating class of 52 kids (high school had grades 7-12 @ 300 kids). So to say this is a devastating blow to the town is an understatement.
