Ok, so I dont bet many NBA games during the year but every once in awhile one catches my eye.
Atlanta +4 vs. LA Lakers (at Atlanta)
Sure, the Lakers just got 7-foot Paul Gasol to fill the shoes for an injured Bynum. They are stacked with these two guys. Gasol made his debut last night to the tune of 20+ points and 12 rebs.
But, the Lakes are smack in the middle of a 9 (yes, 9) game road trip and they beat the Nets last night. They are 3-1 or maybe 4-1 on the current road trip. Here is why I love the Hawks tonight.
1. Back-to-back road games are never a good thing in the NBA.
2. Friday they play New Orleans, who is the current #1 seed in the west.
3. This tells me the Lakers might be looking ahead.
4. The line was -4 this morning and I noticed 80% were on the Lakers (at Covers)
5. Now the line has moved to -3.5 and I see that 81% are on the Lakers. Shouldnt the line to move the other way when more people favor one side????
I'm on the Hawks for what will probably be my one and only NBA wager this season.
