Sorry I haven't posted, but it looks like most are doing just fine. My server was giving me problems. I did call a friend to check on a few plays for me, and ALL he had looked at was MJ and FLETCHER... hmm what a shame. He's a PURE lurker!!

ANYWAY, it helped confirm my instincts for a nice 3-0 morning! FLETCHER NAILED EM... 4-0!!

Nice job... MJ rode the TIGERS and OVER, but I passed on my OLD hometeam TIGERS today.

Got SF under, LA, LA UNDER (looking shaky), and TBAY UNDER going right now, and there's STILL ALOT to look at so let's start!

Anaheim at BALTIMORE

I posted the other day I LOVED this game UNDER, and my thoughts haven't changed. ANA will have SALMON back (not sure if that's a plus the way he's hitting!

) and both teams are well rested. UNDER is 12-4-2 in ANGELS last 18, 6-1-1 in ORTIZ's last 8 games, 6-2-2 in BALT last 10, and 6-1-2 in TOWER's last nine starts. The ONLY problem we have is the HP UMP is unknown. TOWERS is 3-3 with 2.34 ERA at home, and 4-1 in those starts so he gets little support. ORTIZ is a future PEDRO (his idol) if he keeps his cool. This wirey kid has great stuff... just needs to know when to let go of the ego and pitch smart. The days off may help rest some sore bones, but I'm thinking both teams come out mentally sharp, playing good defense and keep this game down to six runs or less.

Oakland at KC

Lots of MJ Cappers were looking for KC to win last nite's game, and I'm really liking them to break through today. KC is 4-1 in REICHERT's last five starts, OAK is 1-4 in HEREDIA's last five for starters. (get it?? For starters... ok, bad joke!

) ANYWAY, this game looks like a definite OVER, many on the MJ board jumping on that for good reason. OAK is 1-5 and the OVER 6-0 when HEREDIA starts on the road with his 7.80 ERA, while KC is 4-6 and the OVER 6-4 when REICHERT starts at home with his 5.67 ERA. OVER is 4-0-1 in HEREDIA's starts vs KC, OVER is 13-5-2 in last 20 meetings, and the HP UMP is 10-8 for HT, and 11-7 OVER averagin 10.22 rpg. I like KC to win in a high scoring game... that's my ticket!

Mets at PHILA

First off, I respect JACK as much as ANYONE IN THE WORLD when it comes to BASES, and I know he is on the METS. BUT, I can't go that way... WOLF is 0-5 in his last five, BUT, he left early in BOTH hit home starts for a PH in each after only giving up 3 hits 3 runs in 6 innings, and 4 runs 5 hits in the other. NOW, I know those aren't great stats, but those were against the YANKS AND BRAVES, not the meekly METS. METS are 4-11 when TRASCHEL starts and 1-5 on the road. WOLF is a decent 3-4 at home with a respectable 3.57 ERA. PHIL broke out big time yesterday of a major hitting slump, and now face another RH they know they can hit. METS know they haven't scored anything in a month, and can't be too confident againt a PHILLIE team that is 13-4 in GAME TWO after a win. Granted, PHIL is 0-6 in WOLF's past six starts, but four were road games, and as mentioned, the other two against quality teams. I'm taking the PHILS, passing on the UNDER which is tempting, but I'm looking for the PHILLIES to kill the METS again!!!

Everyone has EXPO fever, I like the OVER, but pass on the side. ATL is 9-3 in game 2 after a loss, and I look for them to rebound. If anything, I take the hot hitting EXPOS +1.5

Cubs at HOUSTON

Houston has been in this funk where they seem to win one/lose one basically for the past 10 games, but that's merely an observation. CHI has the better pitcher for sure with TAPANIS vs MILICKI, but CHI is 0-5 in his last 5 DESPITE a stellar 2.50 ERA.

We now get to back a pitcher at a on the road who has given up a mere 5 runs in almost 18 innings his last 3, vs MILICKI who got shelled for 6 at AZ (and NOT at ENRON!) in his first start for HOU after coming over from DET (where he was bothered by COMERICA!!:eek) The pitching matchup ALONE is worth the wager, but they want to GIVE us +110 to play it. I also look for a lower scoring game here, but after TWO UNDERS the past two days in ENRON, I'm passing on that one since SAMMY may drive in 10 himself on MILICKI!

Milw at SAN DIEGO

I hate RE-DOING writeups... I had this game and STL on same one and had to re-boot!!! ANYWAY, basically it comes down to this. SD has owned MIL, going 9-2 lately, MIL is 0-7 in last 7, and his teams are 1-9 in SUZIKI's last ten starts. SD started out cold at home but have warmed up in JULY going 6-4 in last 10 at QUALCOMM. SD is hitting the ball well right now and playing with confidence again and I look for that to continue. SUZIKI has been anything but a SUPERBIKE, and with his rice all dried up, look for PADS to pad the victory and a RUNLINE WIN!
