STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Penn State junior safety Ben Lago will miss the season after injuring his knee.
Lago, who had worked his way to No. 3 on the depth chart, tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, Penn State's team doctor, Wayne Sebastianelli, said Monday.
Lago, 6-foot and 203 pounds, was also being considered as a long snapper.
A walk-on, Lago did not record a tackle last year. His redshirt year is still available.
