In their franchise history, the Stars have been down two games to none in a seven-game series a total of nine times and have come back to win the set once. That occurred in 1968 when the Minnesota North Stars lost the first two road games in Los Angeles, but recovered to win in seven.

(Sports Network) - Roman Cechmanek made 33 saves for his second career playoff shutout, leading the Philadelphia Flyers to a 2-0 victory over the Ottawa Senators in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series. Simon Gagne scored his fourth goal of this postseason and Mark Recchi tied New Jersey's Jamie Langenbrunner for the NHL playoff lead with his seventh.

The Flyers, who are in the semifinals for the first time since 2000, gained a split of the two games at Corel Centre and will head back to Philadelphia for Game 3 of the best-of-seven set on Tuesday.

The last time the Flyers recorded a shutout in the playoffs was April 17th of last year in a 1-0 overtime victory over Ottawa, also by Cechmanek. The last shutout on the road had come on April 16th of 2000 as Brian Boucher led Philly to a 2-0 blanking over the Buffalo Sabres.

This is the second meeting in the postseason between Philadelphia and the top- seeded Senators. In the opening round last season, the Sens took a 4-1 series victory by holding the Flyers to an NHL record-low two goals in the five contests, including three consecutive shutouts.

Recchi is the team leader with 10 points on seven goals and three assists. Jeremy Roenick, thanks to two helpers in Game 1, has moved into second with seven points. He now has 102 points (47g, 55a) over his 14-year playoff career. Sami Kapanen has a score and assist in the Ottawa series to give him six points in this postseason.
