PURDUE -1 - I cashed a nice ticket on Wake Forest +8 last week, but backing them in a Pick'em game in this spot is an entirely different story. They were very inspired in that effort vs. N.C. State, as they felt that the Wolfpack had made some derogatory remarks about having to face the Demon Deacons the week before squaring off with Ohio State. With that emotional win behind them, Wake may have difficulty gearing things up again here vs. a good Purdue team. The Boilermakers should be breathing fire after getting upset 27-26 at home by Bowling Green. However, they had no problem moving the ball in that contest, amassing 350 total yards. Defense is not Wake?s strong suit, so I expect Purdue to again move the ball successfully, this time putting more points on the board. I expect the Boilermakers to get some revenge here on Wake?s home field for a 24-21 home loss to the Deacons last season.
