I went on a heater last weekend... My bet size averaged around $30. The majority of my bets were $20 but I made a couple $50 and $100 bets. I ended up winning $550.

I only had around $100 that I could have lost comfortably.. but never at one point was I down. I have had some problems with money management, and this season I am trying to turn that around.

I am going to set that cash aside for the season... so my question is.. if my BR is $550... what should my average bet size be? I know a couple of games might warrant $100... but only on occasion.

So what should I set my unit at?

Thanks for the help guys!

I think 3-5% of your bankroll is smart. Anything more and one cold streak can have you in trouble.

Sounds like you were very hot this weekend and had a great run -- congrats. Now that you've built up that bankroll 5.5 times from the start, keep with the 20 dollar bets you've been doing and watch it consistently grow. Throwing 100 on a play (20%) is playing with fire in my opinion. If you keep putting that much of your roll at risk, eventually you'll lose one, and it will kill the hard work you did to build it.

Good luck

Yeah... $100 would be risking way too much... I figured with it being the first week I would try to build up something and actually got lucky.

I am going to set my max at 50... and play majority $20 to 30 bets...

Thanks for the insight!
