Half point losses hurt pretty bad. But the question I have is with 7 minutes left down 17 (3 possessions) facing a 4th and 10 on the Oregon 27 yard line Washington passed on the 44 yard FG attempt and went for it unsuccessfully. Their kicker had only missed one FG all year between 40-49 yards and had already hit one earlier in the night from similar distance. I admit I did not watch the game. That's why I was hoping someone who might have watched it could explain why they didn't kick the FG.

Couldn't understand that either, but I was on the right side of a half point game three times this week. I've been getting killed by half points all year.

I watched it a field goal was not going to help them at that point. Oregon was going up and down the field scoring tds. Coach figured can't trade field goals for tds this point of game.
