Question for BleedingPurple and other Viking fans

as a Steeler fan it was a good outcome for us, but good game either way...

my question to you is, do you think Favre's ego and Childress's madden like obsession with him end up hurting the Vikes in the long run, I mean 51 attempts when you have AP in the backfield. I know we did a good job of containing him, but if thats my back, he is getting the ball more....

When it was first and goal at the 1 and they try one run and then go to pass pass ... I don't get that, give the ball to your guy in that situation. I mean it is AP. Now at the end of the game I was hoping they would try a run or two but hindsight is always 20/20 but they had plenty of time there and didn't need to pass.. Now for the Vikes passing as much well they were moving the ball very good in the second half especially and Favre was checking out of run plays.. Pitt really crowded the line.. I wasn't happy the way the game ended obviously - had at least overtime, but a win against the Pack will more than make up for it.

One more thing to add.. Brrad Childress is still an idiot. The defense to end the first half was terrible... Went away from what they were doing. I know that maybe the defensive coordinator who did that but playing your safeties that far back WOW!!! I think the Vikes can take a lot away from this game though

AP is probably at 90%. Listened to Antoine Winfield today he says that he may play this weekend.. Getting treatment.. If he is not totally ready he won;'t go because of the bye coming but he says he will definitely be back after the bye.. ESPN was reporting 4 - 6 weeks:shrug:

The Vikes were in a deep zone just before half. Their DB's were 30 yds. off the ball. Ben made a great throw between the linebackers and DB's then Wallace turned it on to the house. I'm not sure you would want man to man there, more risky. Bottom line is, your safeties have to come up and make that tackle. Still, a great game to watch. I wouldn't be shocked to see them again in January.

What I dont understand is abandoning the run,just because there playing 8 upfront??They put it on Farves shoulders and what a mistake that is.

They really had a chance to open some eyes by beating defending champs on road and came up short.Realisticlly they had the ball twice in scoring position(Almost or in the red zone i forget) and not only did they get no points,but both times Farve turns the ball over for defensive scores.
