whats up everyone, this is kind of an off the wall question, but Ive been basically making my living the past few years playing cards and betting, as well as some other odd cash jobs, but nothing that gives me benefits...As I think about it, I really need health insurance, dont have kids so that's not a problem, but still, the prices for it just keep rising, I only need like minnimum coverage with a reasonable co-pay, Im young, good med. history and the like....Im sure theres no "trade groups" or associations for "professional gamblers" as there are for accountants, attorneys, etc where they can get good rates, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to where to find the most reasonable rate, im also not married so no wife to get it....Not the most important issue, but as I think about it, its good to have, wondering what the other pro's on here do, british bulldog, and everyone else, I appreciate the response, I dont post often, Im a lurker, but ive learned so much from this site, and find it very enjoyable to visit every day and know I can post here and get good advice......Thanks and gluck capping to everyone!

Health Insurance is rough to get cheap at all, if u r an individual, cause I know I am self employed, it costs me about $160 a month.

What u need to do is find a nice women that is a school teacher or something w/a nice benefit plan at her work, way way more cheaper as a group.

Or we at madjacks need to form a group policy ourselves to pool the money and get the discounted rate. Usually they want like 20 or more people as an business, or orgranization. Madjacks could sponsor this;) Just an idea!!

grt idea countinguy and thanks for the reply....160 a month seems doable, albeit im young and most likely wont have any use for it for a long time, but its still good to have g-d forbid, knock on wood...yes madjacks should sponsor something, maybe down the line we can look into that, I wasnt planning on getting it immediately, but certainly in the future I will need it, your plan of marrying a school teacher, city employee or somewhere with grt benefits is good also, but I dont plan on getting married for a while so thats not great for the short term, but excellent idea you pose, I assume the bigger the group the better the rate that can be gotten? madjacks as a sponsor is a v good idea, dunno if anyone else is halfway interested though, thanks

Keep in mind that if you marry someone for the healthcare benefits and later end up divorced, it may cost you far more than you bargained for. Of course, that would assume that you were making enough money to be in a position to pay alimony. Just keep it in mind.
