question/thought regarding BCS

if Miami loses to VA Tech next week (doubt they will), could we perhaps have an all-big 10 championship game? Iowa seems to me to be the next logical choice for the fiesta which i think would be great. Ohio St vs Iowa would undoubtedly be an intense game.

p.s. heisman trophy has to go to either Larry Johnson (my pick) or Brad Banks. since mo clarrett went down with injuries, one of these guys deserves it...imagine if clarrett hadnt got hurt, we'd almost certainly be looking at the first freshman heisman winner. and im not saying this because im a fan, look at his numbers.

the above analysis may look slanted towards the big 10. but hey, they are deserving of many honors this year. it was a very competive conference.

Wow... USC jumped Iowa in this week's BCS. This biggest factor being Iowa's low SOS and USC being #3 in four of the computer rankings and #1 in one of them.

I'll go on record now and say that if Miami loses to VT, WSU wins the Pac10, and UGA wins the SEC, that there is no way USC or Iowa play for the NC.

Why?

How can you take a two-loss USC team that does not win their conference over a Miami or UGA team with one loss and a conference championship. Hopefully the poll voters will think about that.

If Miami loses, they would drop in the polls, but how far? If its a close loss, they may drop to #4. Or maybe only to #2. Same in the computers.

A one-loss Miami should be rated higher in the computers than a two-loss USC.

A one-loss Miami should be rated even with a one-loss Georgia in the polls and computers, making UGA the BCS #2, Miami BCS #3, USC BCS #4.

If Miami loses, UGA loses, then Miami should not fall behind USC in polls or computers.
