I know this topic has been covered so many times here-but your help is greatly appreciated.
I have a Directv system-no subscription for 1 year-not active. I want to receive the sports packages-not really into the movies. Where is the "technology" now?? Are the P4 the cards to buy?? Are the HU with the football player no good??
What is the estimate "zap" time?? Features etc??

Thanks

Don't buy a P4 card yet

Don't buy a P4 card yet

They're $100 and about $400 to program.

Stick with the HU's, they'll be good for at least 6 months, getting them programmed will be about the cost of the NBA package.

H card(p2) is history. The stream that the H uses has been pulled.
HU card(p3) is compromised.Should be around for awhile.
? card(p4) is there newest card. They are swapping all HU cards to the P4.Should take awhile. The P4 is NOT compromised as of yet.Lots of rumors though.I would go ahead an use the HU.But I would not spend alot of money. When programmers/loaders first came out they were 5000.00.Now there 100.00 bucks at most.Around here dealers get 25 to 50 per card to do.Everybody seems to have a loader now.As far as longevity of program/script.Locally they have been up for 4-5 months with no problem.Does not mean dave will not act up an start messing w/cards.Nothing is certain.

Hope this helps fellow bills fan.
