Michigan St. -2.5 @ Maryland

Is anyone out there thinking on the lines that I am about this game. Over 90% of the money pouring in on Michigan st. the line holding under 3 now. Is ESPN blowing this coaching turmoil out of control or not? Few weeks back Arizona line moved 10 points versus UCLA who was winless at the time. Yet with everything going on outside this line remains under three?:mj03::0062

Maybe I?m the only one considering this game.

I think it?s very winnable. My thinking is they come with same edge they opened the season. Beating Texas, Vegas pushing Michigan St. on public. Ty for input

I am a Maryland alum and have followed this story pretty closely. When the news first broke early in the week that Durkin was being brought back, I took MichSt -1.5 for a fairly large amount. Then the news came that a handful of players, including some starters, walked out on his first meeting with the team and I knew my gut was right that him coming back was a huge negative for team morale. These players weren't going to play for this guy. The next day before ESPN etc. picked up on the news, I get an email from the UMD president (to all alumni) that they were, in fact, letting Durkin go. I immediately bought back my bet and took Maryland +3 for my original wager and then a little. I cannot stress enough that this is a HUGE load off of the shoulders of the players. The shadow that Durkin, the S&C coach and this story cast over the football program was massive. The players banded together over the death of their teammate and have honored him in every game. Add to it the possibility of clinching a bowl game on their home field and I think Maryland will play highly-motivated, worry-free football in front of a fired up home crowd. Rooting for my middle here, but I do think Maryland has a great shot at winning this game.
