RAIDERS/RAMS Over 48.5 (Sunday) - Every Oakland game this season has been an entertaining, high scoring affair, as the Over is a perfect 4-0 in all Raiders games with an incredible average total score of 63 points per game! Not surprisingly, the Raiders lead the NFL in total offense, averaging 461.5 total yards per game. What is most impressive about this Raiders attack is the excellent balance they have displayed, averaging 325.5 passing yards on an excellent 7.6 yards per attempt, along with 137.0 rushing yards on an outstanding 5.2 yards per rush! This team is virtually impossible to defend right now, what with their large stable of quality running backs and their collection of speed burners in the receiving corps. Rich Gannon has been expert at leading this attack, completing 67.5% of his passes while throwing 10 touchdowns vs. just 3 interceptions. The problems of the 0-5 Rams to this point have been very well documented. However, I just refuse to believe that this team could deteriorate this quickly. Sure, the injury to Warner hurts, but they still have Marshall Faulk in the backfield and a stellar crop of receivers. I feel that this team is capable of exploding at any time, and the Raiders have proven to be rather vulnerable in the secondary, allowing 282.5 passing yards per game. Besides, if the Raiders continue their offensive assault, the Rams actually may not even need to score all that much for this game to go safely Over.
