RAMS/CHIEFS Over 38 (Friday) ? I feel that the Rams may have a very productive first quarter in this game, as their stellar starting unit has shown absolutely nothing in the pre season up to this point. As talented as this team is, they probably don?t want to go into their season opener totally rusty, so look for them to put up 10 or 14 points in the first quarter alone. Warner, and even his backups for that matter, could attack a Kansas City secondary that lost starting safety Jerome Woods for the season last week with a broken leg. As bad as the Rams have looked, their 3 games so far have still averaged a total score of 43.7 points per game, which would be good enough to cash in on the Over here. The Chiefs always give it their all vs. their cross-state rivals, regardless if the game is in the pre season or regular season. Remember that it was the Chiefs that handed the Rams their first loss after an 8-0 start here a couple of seasons ago, putting up 45 points on what had been to that point a decent St. Louis defense. I think that the Priest Holmes and the other Kansas City running backs will have some success running the ball on a Rams? defense that has surrendered a poor 148 rushing yards per game so far on 5.0 yards per carry. This should lead to an improved performance by the Kansas City quarterbacks, as their ability to run the ball will open up some passing lanes as the Rams pinch up.

Completely agree with you on the Rams. You make a great point : They don't want to risk injury, but don't want to be rusty either. I think that the Rams FH team total has tremendous value in this instance as does the 1Q over of 7 1/2. Best of luck to you.

Line swing could be associated with St. Louis planning to use more of their offensive gameplan and K. Warner playing possibly the whole first half, depending on how the offense is clicking. St. Louis is also still evaluating the WR position which might mean more passes...

Went the UNDER as I don't expect to see much "play time" for the ,shall we say, More Skilled Players..
I expect St. Louis to feature their starters for a VERY short amount of time and K.C. will feature what I expect from them all year, alot of incomplete passes and a high percentage of Low Risk Plays( running the ball) and try to keep the games within reach. It's tough for a life long coach of playing things 'tight to the vest' to start changing things with what he is dealing with in K.C.
Luck All....Spanky....

Is there any angle that includes competition between Coach Martz and Dick Vermeil? I wonder how they feel about the game?
