For auto racing. I'll give you my synopsis of the 7 books I use - Pinnacle, Intertops, Olympic, WSEX, WWTS, Carib, BET365 and Centrebet:
___
Top - Olympic
This isn't even close. They were always a pretty good motorsports book but took themselves to new heights last year.
Here is what they had last year and I assume will have this year also
Winton Cup - odds to win, top 3 finish odds, propositions, at least 15 matchups, qualifying matchups
Formula 1 - Odds to win, podium finish, points finish, qualifying matchups, pole position, head to head matchups, proposition bets
Busch Series - odds to win, 10-12 race matchups
CART - Odds to win, podium finish, pole position odds, head to head matchups
IRL - Odds to win, top-3 odds, at least 10 race matchups
For a while they even had motorcycles.
OLY is awesome and a must have out. The biggest complaints I have about them are as follows:
- F1 qualifying goes down after first practice and is not reposted
- 40 cent lines on F1 is too high. They offer 30 cents on everything else so why not F1 also?
- No parlays on any auto matchups
- Busch series hold is too high (over 175% compared to about 165% for Winston Cup and 130-140% for CART, IRL and F1).
Still no one comes close to Olympic for auto racing. They have clearly established themselves as the leader.
2. Intertops
Here is what they had last year and I assume will have this year also
Winton Cup - odds to win, top 3 finish odds, propositions, tons of matchups for both race and qualifying including head to head and 3 ways.
Formula 1 - Odds to win, podium finish, points finish, qualifying matchups, pole position, head to head matchups, proposition bets, dual forecast, perfectas
Busch Series - No odds
CART - Odds to win, podium finish, head to head matchups, some qualifying matchups
IRL - Odds to win, top-3 odds, some race matchups
Negatives about Intertops
- Very low limits
- No Busch series and when I asked why not they didn't even want to hear about it
- 40 cent lines on all CART, F1 and IRL matchups
- Lines always skewed in favour of Ferrari makes it unbettable when the race is clearly in their favour.
Still the 3 ways are great and this book is another must have for auto bettors. They also do their own lines which means the matchups are almost always unique.
Now we get the big drop off
.
3. WSEX - For a while there they were great but of late have backslid. For some reason they cut out CART altogether and qualifying matchups for F1
Right now they have odds to win, qualifying and race matchups for Nascar and odds to win, pole position and race matchups for F1. The one big advantage they do have is 30 cent lines on F1 matchups.
They also have a lot of cool futures including a Winston Cup futures market. If you've never tried the market, it's great because if you luck into a lot of shares on a driver who has a low starting price but gets hot (eg. Sterling Marlin last year), you can make some quick cash.
Still WSEX was 4* 2 years ago but dropped back to about 2 1/2* last year. Mind you it's not just auto racing. They were the top props book and for some reason decided to give up most of them
.
4. Pinnacle: Pinnacle would be ranked higher except that they only offer Winston Cup. Still the Winston cup odds they do offer are great. Generally the lowest hold going and matchups have a 15 cent line. Plus they offer pole position odds for Winston Cup. They could be ranked higher if they offered other types of racing but I doubt they will.
One other negative of Pinnacle is that no one there ever seems to know the answer to auto racing questions. Whenever I send a query I get back a message saying that "the answer is not evident. We'll have to research this and get back to you." I get this response whether I'm asking about a particular rule or whether they have a washroom in their offices there
.
5. Centrebet: A good book for F1 although they've tapered off of late. They also offer sporadic other series like the Honda Indy at Surfer's Paradise, The Indy 500 and the Daytona 500 but otherwise it's just F1. They do have good holds and limits though for Formula 1 and a variety of bets.
6. Carib: Again they only offer Winston Cup and odds to win on F1. The holds are good although they fluctuate wildly, but they do allow parlays on matchups. Still no qualifying, no series other than Winston Cup and F1, no F1 matchups hardly makes them serious about the sports.
7. Bet 365: They offer a lot of stuff including all the series, but the holds are so attrocious and the limits so low they can't be mentioned in the same breath as the above companies. I remember wanting to place a bet on Ralph Schumacher last year and was given a limit of $5. Until they change the ridiculously low limits and the holds of over 200%(often)on Winston Cup and Busch I can't even list them in the same space as the others.
8. WWTS. Do they even have motorsports???
