I just laid 500.00 on the Mets to win the NL East at 20:1 odds. Mets have been playing .600 ball for about a month now. Braves and Phillies are both playing about .333 ball, after today Mets will be 7.5 games back with 23 games left. If Mets go 16-7, and Atl goes 8-16 or worse, (the Mets, Braves and Phillies all play head to head towards the end of the season) Look for Mets to win division by 1 game or 1/2 game, It will go down to the wire. Now thats gambling! Certainly the Mets are a better team than they've played like all year, so it is possible. Would be one of the biggest comebacks of all time. Good luck!

Hey Gravy... That takes some Balls to drop $500.00 on a bet like that... Although the Braves and Phillies are struggling I just think its too much ground to make up... But thats how you win the big money... Making Bets like that can create some serious happiness if they come in... I hope you hit Gravy... Even though I'm a huge Braves fan what the Hell... If they give up that much ground then they don't deserve it anyway...

Once again... Good luck partner...

I would have loved to have booked that bet for you. I do wish you good luck though.

I'm not a futures guy but i'm sitting on Oak at 40/1 for the World Series. I cant wait to cash that ticket.

I would of also booked that bet from you....
If the braves and phils are playing head to head that means someone will get a W. Way to much ground to make up.
Anyhow good luck...

that's why they are called the amazins....

here is what I think....

Piazza and Alfonzo are swinging the bat well.

Leiter and Trachsel are dealing.

You have a chance....500 is a lot to wager but 10 Grandeez is a nice pot to win. If the Mets can get it down to 4 or 5 by the weekend.....who knows?!?! Worth the risk.

I am not a NY fan, but there isn't a better personality in the game that Bobby V.

Slim shot for sure. Braves and Phils are not playing well, and the Mets have an incredibly easy schedule that includes a 9 game home stand in the middle of Sept. They have 6 more vs. ATL, but none against PHI, and ATL and PHI go at it 6 more times too. I think at a minimum it would take a split between ATL/PHI and NYM sweeping ATL, not to mention probably .800 ball for the remainder. It would be incredible, but painful for me as a Braves fan. Looking at it more closely it seems it should be higher odds.

Wouldn't it be something if Phil loses to Pavano tomorrow.

Everytime I see the Mets win, which is very often, I think of your wager.

I really hope you hit it!!!
