i know what i can find on Net about Utes, but am curious if anyone has any additional info ...
Huskies played without Jamaal Williams, Bobby Jones, Tre Simmons and Will Conroy out because of NCAA suspensions for playing in an unsanctioned game last spring. The latter 3 were huge part of last year's success.
Nate Robinson (for those who mightve forgotten, is just a flat out incredible talent--at NBA Chi camp, he wowed them but came back for juniior year) he's the best athlete Ive ever seen in HS sports in state of Wash. The UW's next best player, 6'6 Brandon Roy, is a phenomenal 3-man; 6'8 Mike Jenson is highly skilled too .. If they hang a total, I would have to think it would be hard not to look twice at UW going over ...
This team is loaded and I have it from the best source that "the coaches are surprised and impressed at how hard they've been working" ...
anyhow, like i said, I have no real read on Utah, Coach Jack is decent, used to be UW ass. under Bender, and did good job at East Wash, but if Utah can't control tempo or decides to run and doesnt have min. of 8 players, i dont see them covering ... They beat Stony Brooke in Utah by 9; while the UW beat D2 SPU (local school) 89-71 minus those 4 players ...
My only caveat is it's first game for UW at full strength, might be trouble meshing off the bat ...
