Do all of you record your wager numbers? I have been having a lot of situations recently where I think I made the wager and it is not there or even double wagered... I record the team and the monetary amount in my notebooks but I do not write ticket numbers down... do you guys? do you print your wagers? Just wondering....

I guess... in a way... have you ever had wagers "disappear" and do you have enough trust with your current book that they would not try to pull some shit like that?

I don't print them out after I hit "accept." But it can't hurt.
However, I do keep an Excel Speadsheet; old-school style!
I also keep a separate tally for the "unranked faves over ranked dogs" angle. That is the only system I follow..all my other wagers are handicapping.

I had an issue once and was asked for the ticket number, so I basically didn't have a chance without it. Cover you butt. I was probably wrong but couldn't be for sure.

Yeah,

That is where I feel I am right now.

I Know I KNOW I played SJU in the second half tonight vs GMU... They were -6.5 and the line moved to -7. I know I played it and I know what I played it for etc.... I even was rooting for it... when the game got tight late I went into my pending wagers and it was not there.... But I have no ticket number so I know the reaction that I would get from the book. It is only this past week that it has felt this way.
I told my wife the other day that something was up with the book... She told me I was just tired from working too much but Now I really think something is up....
The other thing the book has been doing - Is telling me that the line that I am trying to bet is under evaluation and for me to check back later... When I started the night my first 10 wagers ALL of the lines were being evaluated and I had to go back.... More than one of the lines had moved. Just shady stuff.
I am going to have to start treating them like a bank and track everything.

Take care

Two years ago I had bet (or thought I had bet) Iowa St at home vs Oklahoma getting about 10 points I believe, and Iowa St covered. So when I went check, it showed me as really playing on Oklahoma, so that was really tough to take because a 'so called' winner turned into a loser. I bitched 'in public', something I really shouldn't have done, because I couldn't be for sure if I was right or not but really thought I was. So the book basically 'fired me', not out right, but by messing with me every time I logged on after that, where I basically had no choice but to leave. I had had no problems with them before that and I liked the way the site was set up. Oh well, I did it to myself.

I simply cannot believe some one would tell you something like 'the line is under review' type BS. That's the biggest crock of bull I've ever heard. If a shop is definitely trying to screw people then they definitely need to be called out. However, it's one of the very worst things we can do if we're not 100% sure they are wrong/crooked; because we're damaging someone's reputation, and reputation is really all a good shop has.

Oh, and I'm not saying I don't believe you, cause I do, it's just hard for me to believe someone can be that dishonest.
