NEW YORK YANKEES ?130 ? At first glance, it may seem tempting to take a pitcher of Lowe?s quality as an underdog in this spot. However, upon further review, this looks like a bargain price for Wells considering all the success that he has had in Yankee Stadium. Wells is 6-1 overall this season, with a 3.92 ERA and a fine WHIP of 1.24. He is also 3-1 here at home, allowing an opponents batting average of just .239 at the Stadium. He has handled the Red Sox well over the years, as his teams are 4-1 in his last 5 starts against them. Granted, Lowe is 7-2 with a remarkable 0.80 WHIP. However, one of those 2 losses came against the Yankees in his last start, and the last time he started at Yankee Stadium, he was roughed up for 6 earned runs in 3.1 innings.
