(Ticker) - It's a good thing the Detroit Red Wings already have the Central Division under lock and key.
The Red Wings on Tuesday announced center Pavel Datsyuk will miss the next seven to 10 days with a "lower body" injury.
Detroit, which clinched the Central title on Sunday and leads the race for the Presidents' Trophy with 112 points, lost the services of Datsyuk in Monday's 2-1 shootout victory over the Calgary Flames. The 27-year-old Russian leads the Red Wings with 87 points, including a career-high 59 assists.
