Really like this one.
Reds certainly aren't the strongest road club, but this Volquez dude has to be in early consideration of the Cy Young voters (I'd say him, Webb and Zambrano would get my votes, if I had 'em to give). What Edinson just did AT Philly was phenomenal. He has been extremely consistent. I kind of like the 1st half play a little better as he will likely tame the Marlinsticks for at least five, though the Reds pen has been solid lately, for the most part, and closer Cordero likely redeems himself given the chance. To add to the attraction, Hendrickson has been pretty bad lately and was already beaten on by the Reds earlier this season. Actually, in 5 career starts vs the Reds Mark is 0-2 with an 8.49 era and .371 BAA. Count me WAY in for side and 1st 5.

Almost backed off the Unit temptation when I saw his relatively weak day stats for the past couple of seasons. Hoppy when I glimpsed how much of a joke that Duke has been in day games in recent times. Randy has been great, lately, though the Pirates have been decent lately while the D'Backs have come back to earth. Still, they've really done good work vs lefties this season. Count me in smaller. 1st 5 appears the slightly better play.

close, but no doobie:

I've cleaned up with the Giants these past couple of days but Cain has not had enough quality starts this year to be so juicy on the road. Not to mention that Clippard was recently named pitcher of the month down on the farm, so he's earned this call-up. Toss in the idea that the G-men are much more attractive vs lefties and I'm chickening out of this one. Nats have been tanking, mind you. NL visitors, perhaps, if you can get it; I see it at -1 or ml at -125...was gonna hop ml at -115 but the focker sprung.

Yanks runline was tempting but the middle relief makes me go hmmm. Mussina great in his last vs Jays but shutting them down is no rarity. Hochevar looks a few years away from any greatness but if this former 1st-overall pick can't get up for facing the Pinstripers then I don't know who he could for. Nice sentence.

Danks line just opened. Tempting...runline, at least. Think I'm taking the money and running from this series...Twins due to do something and when Dankstinks he does indeed. Former 1st-er Perkins not scary. Too pricey.

Tigers temptation I'm still toying with. 1st5 might be better but more costly. 1 so-so start by Willis hasn't really got me sold. Lee has come WAYYYY back to earth, though, and Detameslefties.

M's-Jays over the 8.5 is a major-lean. I'm totally not sold on Litsch and I've seen him chuck a-plenty. Keeps it in the zone but not the greatest stuff. Washburn has been putrid and Jays feasted on lefties last season...not so much, this year. Maybeville.

Angels a strong lean, also. Jackson looks more like his normal self lately (i.e. not so hot) and Saunders price is pretty cheap--Rays hot start has this price down. Crawford suspension?...starts when?...not to mention key slugger Pena still out with injury and Raysticks have calmed lately overall. Possibly a piece.

Think that's the lot. Geez, these Monday and Thursday chillax days are a nice breather from the 15-game slugfests.

Wish it was as easy as this Eur'08 shiite...gotta take the money and run until the next set of games as the faves (Spain-Italy) have been priced to the moon.

...And everything under the sun is in tune
But the sun is eclipsed by the moon.
