Relax LSU fans

You would think you beat OK 52- 0 the way you describe the game. The final was 21-14, that is ONE, yes 1 TouchDown ,In your own backyard. Ok had as much to do with losing the game as Lsu had with winning it. USC DESTROYED a Quality Mich team, admittedly in their backyard also, but they Crushed them!
LSU crushes Okl they deserve #1 alone but they didn't, couple of breaks on the feeble TO penalties, having Stoops still as Def Coord, this gm has a different outcome.

To another PROFITABLE CFB YEAR:toast: See ya in the Fall ;)

You must clear the fog out of your eyes as you must have missed the dominating performance by that LSU defense. Oklahoma's 2 scoring drives totaled 33 yards & on the first td, if it wasn't for a penalty, OU would have probably only gotten 3 pts.

LSU played their C game on offense & it was more then enough to hold OU off. It is no fluke that they held the #1 offense to under 150 total net yards!

LSU play their C game on offense again vs Ole Miss????? Face it, LSU does not have a good offense. They dominated the game defensively and I commend them. However, OU commited ton of penalties which killed drives and had nothing to do with LSU. Also, LSU fumbled the ball and threw an INT that both were called back because of OU penalties. Is that LSU dominating?

OU QB played horrible (yes some of it had to do with LSU defense but he missed open WR's too) and OU OC stopped running the ball when OU was running it right down LSU throats.

Oh yeah, was that a dominating defense that saw OU drop at least 3-5 easy passes. OU WR's were dropping passes all night. Very undisciplined team.

Only TD LSU scored in the 2h was a horrible INT thrown by White. That is not too impressive.

All in all, LSU won the game, they were the better team. OU did not deserve to be there. KSU beat OU worse than LSU, and KSU was dominated by OSU. So LSU was in no win situation.

Congrats to LSU on their BCS Championship, they earned it.

FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!!

You two are in denial.

The #'s don't lie. LSU dominated OU more then any team they faced this season & that includes KS. LSU doesn't have the best offense in the world but they are better then what they showed. They didn't even need their best offensive game the way they played yesterday.

OU had only 3 more penalties then LSU did so stop looking for scapegoat reasons as to why OU didn't move the ball. One of LSU's penalties helped OU get another crack at their 1st TD since they couldn't do shit from 2 yards out on the first 3 tries.

Did you ever sit back & wonder why White played bad? Maybe it was the defense

Get over it, LSU won the real national title that EVERY team aims for each season. No one AIMS for the AP title.

I am not taking anything away from LSU and everything i said happened in the game. How come KSU dismantled OU and LSU could only win by 7 despite OU playing so horrible and not disciplined???? Like I said, LSU gained very little from beating OU because KSU destroyed them while LSU beat them by 7. However, congrats to LSU on their BCS Championship. That is one fine defense they have and that is what won them the game. Are you still puzzled why OU stopped running the ball once they got to the LSU 13 yard line after succussfully running it down the LSU defense? I am completely puzzled over that. I think OU is just afraid to run the ball. Also, LSU did not play that great of a disciplined game. The Rose Bowl showcased "two" teams that came ready and prepared to play sound football.

Scott you are behind stupid. The Rose Bowl was a quality game but get your nut off of the game & the Trojans. I somehow doubt you ever played a game of real football in your life as you seem clueless about certain things that happened.

LSU obviously came to the game to win with their defense. They have done it most of this season & yesterday was no different. They could have executed better but realistically didn't need too as they shut Oklahoma down.

Oh yeah LSU didn't play that disciplined. Sure scott believe what you would like.

Uh-oh, Al Bundy here, lmfao! gotta love these jokers that played a little JV football in H.S., and think they are know it alls.

The funniest part is, it is the ones that ask such meaningless questions never did play anything other than junior varsity ball. :topic:

Yes, and had the refs made the right call on the FUMBLE, LSU would have run out of luck.

So mr smartass, explain to us all how OU did zilch on offense all night. LSU more then doubled them up on offense & they didn't even play a good offensive game. While you are at, maybe you can explain to us why it took 2 turnovers for OU to even generate any points.

Oh yeah LSU didn't play that disciplined. Sure scott believe what you would like.

LSU had 2 INT's and 1 fumble. THAT IS HORRIBLE FOOTBALL.

ON TOP OF THAT...........
LSU did fumble the ball, OU recovered, but LSU got the ball back cuz OU was offsides.

LSU throws INT inside own territory, LSU gets ball back because OU penalized.

HOW FREAKING LUCKY IS LSU???? That is not good football, that is LUCK. Did you not see that in the game? I call a spade a spade, LSU dominated the game defensively, but OU played bad football along with LSU. Nothing to be proud about. USC has had 2 INT's in their last 6-8 games and i think 1 fumble in their last 6-8 games. 1 fumble at the very end of the Rose Bowl when it was meaningless at the goal line, and zero INT's. USC is much much more disciplined team. Something to be proud about.

OU 11 penalties (ugly, and the penalties were huge too)
LSU 8 penalties (ugly)
USC 3 penalties (1 meaningless turnover)
Michigan 2 penalties (1 fluke INT)

USC (1 meaningless turnover in last min. of game)
Michigan (1 fluke INT off players foot)

However you look at it, USC and Michigan played a much better game. LSU vs OU was a sloppy game that championship teams should not have played. Give me a break, you cannot dispute the facts. USC and even Michigan are very disciplined teams.

LSU vs Michigan did not look anything like a champhionship game. USC vs Michigan did.

I would beg the difference. I did play Football and in fact I played for your beloved Tigers. I played TE behind Lefleur.

No the Tigers were not as good as they are now but hey, I did have a scholarship for Football from Archbishop High School. Do the research if you must.

I agree with Mr. Hockey....LSU dominated the entire game. Granted, Oklahoma woke up in the 2nd half...but this is a 4 quarter game...and LSU played all 4 quarters...

yes, I also think that incomplete pass was a fumble and coulda completelllllllllllly changed everything - but LSU got breaks...as did Ohio St last year...as did Marshall the year before...as did so many teams that play this game. But LSU made the plays when they had to on that last Oklahoma drive. Im not saying LSU is better then USC...or USC is better the LSU..or whateverrr - LSU is a good team that simply pushed around Oklahomas OLine and DLine and had a awesome night in the secondary

I think if LSU and USC played...I think USC would lay 3...

just my 2 cents...

I was at the game, and let me tell you this game should have been a blowout by LSU. They had turnovers that kept Oklahoma in the game, but Oklahoma coudn't do anything with them. Everytime I was thinking LSU was going to put it away they would turn the ball over. I had bet on LSU, so I was rooting for them, but other than that I didn't care who won.

It looked like Jason White had happy feet every time he dropped back to pass, the LSU D just dominted that game. They got a little tired towards the end of the game which is when Oklahoma started to get some offense against them, but really LSU should have won by alot more.

It wasn't luck that got them to the NATIONAL TITLE GAME. It was a team that earned its way there & dominated an Oklahoma team that a bunch of you & others across the world were calling one of the best of all time up until December.

Teams win titles with great defense & LSU did just that. You just don't want to give them credit because they passed your Trojans & earned their way to the title game that you were swearing up & down USC couldn't possibly be bumped out late in the season. Once they did you changed your tune & have been holding on to an AP title & praising it left & right.

You are as clueless as Corso is when he said USC was better on all sides of the ball over LSU. The #'s don't lie & USC's defense is not better then LSU's.

What game were you watching??? LSU kicked their ass all over the field. Yes, their offense didn't play their best game but there "D" dominated this game from beginning to end.

In fact the only reason they made it this for is because of their "D". Hell, if the offense would have played like they are capable of playing they would have blown OU out.

True, the game was decided in the last 15 mins but it should not have came down to that. LSU had the chance to put them away and didn't. OU hung around because of Tiger mistakes and had a chance to win the game in the end. LSU was the team making the mistakes and OU could not take advantage of it.

Good teams find ways to win while the bad find ways to lose.

I am glad that we got away with a win and I will take a win however it comes.

Man, for you to say that LSU didn't dominate this game you have no clue on what football is all about.

I can careless about ratings. And who should be #1 because the games are decided on the playing field. No, I don't agree with the system that we have but hey this is the best that we have for now.

If a person played football on any level they could clearly see that LSU dominated this game from Start to finish. True, the domination may have come from the "D" but it was enough to win and thats all that counts.

Best of luck and I will see you guys next Football Season.
