One of the teams most often linked to Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel in pre-draft speculation reportedly will not take him at its current spot in the top 10 on Thursday night.
According to Jay Glazer of Fox, the Buccaneers ?won?t? pick Manziel with the No. 7 overall selection.
The Buccaneers signed Josh McCown in free agency and have tabbed him as their starter. Mike Glennon, whom the Buccaneers selected in Round Three in the 2013 draft, is also on the depth chart.
Glazer?s report only specifies that Manziel isn?t at play at No. 7 for Tampa Bay. It?s another piece of intelligence in trying to solve one of the draft?s riddles ? the matter of where Manziel takes his talents next.

With the clock creeping slowly toward the first pick in the draft, the Texans have reportedly made up their mind.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Texans are ?locked in? on their player of choice, and ?not expecting a trade.?
This is kind of like when the guy at the car lot says, ?I don?t know, let me go talk to the finance guy and see if I can do any better.?
If someone wants to make a deal with the Texans, it will take one phone call. A call which will take far fewer than five hours to consummate. A call which has been made, in various manners, over the last few weeks.
What the Texans are doing is calling last call. There?s still time to get a drink, if you want one.
