Strahan has been arrested for stealing the nfl single season sack record. His accomplise BJ Favre is also going to serve time as he was involved in de-frauding THE GREAT MARC GASTINEAU of his most valuable tresured accomplishment of his life.

These 2 over the hillers have single handedly tarnished the record book forever, making it a disgrace to "REAL" RECORD holders to even be associated to the game

even his own teammates are pissed to hell with him

Some of the Packers offensive linemen didn't seem happy about the play, which was supposed to be a run until Favre changed it.

``No comment,'' center Mike Flanagan said. ``Go ask Brett.''

this shows that this class-less act should be punished and Strahan name should be stricken from the record

WAY TO GO MIKE , BE REAL PROUD OF YOUR RECORD AND NOW YOU CAN TELL YOUR GRANDCHILDREN HOW YOU STOLE IT

AS FOR BJ FAVRE ,YOUR TEAM THINKS YOUR A JOKE , YOUR FANS SHOULD THINK YOU ARE A JOKE AND YOUR FAMILY SHOULD BE DISGRACED TO BE RELATED TO YOU

That was a classless act by Favre, when JIM MORA heard of what Favre did he screamed "THAT SUCKS" referring to how Gastineau was victimized by Favre and Franks and Strahan. They should review the incident and take away the sack and reinstate Gastineau's record and his title as the most feared defensive end ever to play the game.

Strahan is a joke just like the rest of the Giants, I can't believe he made a deal with Favre to let him sack him.

Favre is a disguting gutless bastard, and is a disgrace to the league. Who the hell does he think he is changing the record books with a bullshit fall.

can you believe that piece of crap favre started dancing and celebrating with the enemy the fact that he help pull a scam

the guy is a joke and I hope next week Stubblefield and Bryant Young rip the hell out of this first class LOSER

Gastineau should come out of retirement sign with the niners and blast the cheese outta of the idiots ass

I am sure the "real" cheese head fans would have to agree with that. I am sure that if Lombardi was still around, crap like that would never happen and that he would ship favre back to mississippi to pick cotton

I liked the move by Favre!

Strahan worked his ass off all year, Favre has utmost respect for guys that do that for a living, just giving a dog a bone!

Favre for President!

Favre will be exposed this year. My dream matchup is if he goes into StLouis. The Rams would absilutely pummel the Pack on carpet indoors away from GreenBay's outdoor. I hope to hell they play so the Rams can show their dominance and make life miserable for Favre all day. RAMS IN A MAJOR BLOWOUT

Let's see here....HMMMMM.....all this talk about this play.....actually I don't give a damn about whether he got the record or not....and actually that record would have been broken along time ago you dumb a*** if you knew of all the rules they put in place to protect these SISSY quarterbacks. Now you can throw the ball away if your outside the guard or tackle....whooopieeee.....there goes a lot of sacks out the door....Strahan is a monster at DE and for him to get even close to the record with all these rules put in place for the quarterbacks is truely amazing....

i think he should have gotten the record on his own in stead of scamming it, then if it was truely amazing for him to get close he should have left it at that, and not shamefully disgrace the league. i dont think pitchers were saying , " here you go barry ,i'll pitch right down the middle" he earned it

you are truely a moron if you dont understand the morals here kevinmc nuggets

I'm from Minny and while I hate the Packers, I have always admired Favre and the way he plays. Watched the game yesterday and couldn't believe what happened. If he does it in the first Quarter, no big deal (probably goes unnoticed), but The PACKERS O-LINE played a great game and to have their perfromance tainted by Brett's antics is unforgivable.

The Pack O-Line should step aside early in the Niners game and let Brett experience a real sack. Then get over it and on with the game.

THE RECORD IS TARNINSHED!

ooooohhhh you really got me their on how the pack did against the vikes. ooooooohhhh

but isn't the point of the NFL to win the SUPERBOWL and to win the superbowl don't you need to get to the playoffs and to get to the playoffs dont you have to win alot of games,
I think the vikes need to post this message in the locker room to understand what they are playing for.
but ooooooohhhhhhh you really got me their with that 1-1 split they had with a really shitty team.

sorry vikes!

First of all I watched the play closely several times. To me it looked like Farve was genuinely suprised to see Strahan coming at him. There is absolutely no indication that Farve gave him a gimmee as far as I'm concerned.

Secondly does anyone really know what a low life, bully and woman abuser Gastineau is, besides being a convicted felon and jailbird.
In addition, showing no loyalty to his team (Jets) he walked away from them in the middle of football season so he could hump his Swedish girlfriend, who eventually dumped him. The real shame here is that this guy (a disgrace to the NFL) held the record so long.
Gastineau couldn't even carry Strahan's jock strap when it comes to morals and being the type of man to represent what's good about the NFL.

Enough of poor Mark Gastineau already. While I dont agree with what Favre did, I am real tired of hearing how Gastineau earned his record. By his own admission, he was one of the most doped up guys on the field when he played, and used steroids his entire career. I dont give a shit about either of these guys personally or the teams, but enough is enough about how honest a record Gastineau just lost.

Is cheating over the course of all 20 sacks better or worse than being given the last record breaking sack? They both stink in my opinion.

Strahan should go play basketball for UConn......womens that is.....where they let Nikisha Sales or whatever her name was score an uncontested layup to break the all time scoring mark up there.....

Strahan successfully turned the all time single season sack record into a big joke....
