Research Shows Women Fall into 'Trance' During Orgasm
Dutch scientists have found that, during sex, the sections of the brain that control fear, anxiety, and emotion, tend to relax and reduce in activity in females, revealing that the key to female arousal lies in relaxation and lack of anxiety.
At climax, the brain's emotion centers "close down", producing a trance-like state. While a scale of this closure also occurs in men, it is much less intense compared to females. Men tend to focus more on the contact between genitalia during sex.
The study also shows that, in cold weather, couples are more likely to reach an orgasm while wearing socks. About 80% of couples were able to reach orgasm while wearing socks, compared to 50% in bare feet.
