Folks, Huge breaking news here.

Joe

/////////////////////////////////////////////

ESPN is reporting that RB Ricky Williams (Mia) does not want to play
football anymore. He contemplated sticking it out this season for his
team, but finally decided that his heart just was not in it.

The Dolphins are devasted and have no legitimate backup plan here.
They are hopeful they can convince him to play out the season.

But sources close to Ricky Williams do not believe he will return. It
is unclear what he will do next, but he stated he would like to do
some travelling abroad.

Talk about HUGE news. I don't think anybody saw this
coming...especially not the Dolphins or they likely would have been
active in trying to acquire Antowain Smith or Eddie George. Travis
Minor is second on the depth chart, but we need to probably see what
develops in the next few days to determine who the feature back will
be. We will keep you posted as this story further unfolds in the
coming days.

Man, I didn't think that the Dolphins would have been much more than a .500 team with RW, now they are in a lot of trouble. Fielder/Feeley are not exactly playmakers, and Williams was going to be their crutch. Going to be a long year in Miami.

I really hope this is a joke. :scared

Anyhow, Dolphins are cooked without Ricky. Man, this has to be their worst off-season ever.

Bye, bye, Wanstedt (sp) :sadwave:

Went to see Dolphins total season wins and it's OTB.

As a football fan, I am shocked  and upset to see RW retiring.

As a Jets fan, I am :drinky: celebrating because that will be 2 more wins within the division. With a soft schedule and now a devestated Miami team, Chad and company will be back in the playoffs this year.

I don't think he could cut it after laying off the juice his second season in Miami. Great news! Look for the Bills to grind out a playoff birth with sorry fins and jets teams in their division and the best 2-headed rb combo in the league. The only reason the bills have sucked recently is poor coaching, and that is all about to change.
