Hate to bet against the Zags, but have to in this situation.

Main factor for me is motivation. . . take a look at the first two games and you'll find a sharp contrast in rebounding with Pepperdine grabbing more boards at home and then the Zags doing the same in the rematch. Now the third game and which team wants this more??? No matter what happens tonight, the Zags are in the tournament. . . no question about it. However, Pepperdine is certainly not a shoe in and NEEDS this win. While there is no question the Zags will give their best effort tonight as a conference championship is the goal of every team, but I just feel that Pepperdine is the team that will give that little extra effort tonight when needed to pull this game out and control their own destiny of playing in the Big Dance instead of leaving it up to the selection committee.

Waves +185 ML has the best value as either team can win this game tonight and its Pepperdine's time to step up to the plate.

Nickel,

Totally agree with you here. The best thing that could happen for the conference is a Pepperdine victory tonight. The Zags are in and everybody knows it, with the wave on the fence I somehow believe they will get enough of the close calls necessry to win this game, not only for themselves but for the conference.
It's a lot like the duke/virginia game last week, without that win virginia had no hope other than winning the acc tourney of going to the dance, yet somehow even after being down 15 with 6 or so minutes to go duke collapses like never before and now virginia needs only a win or maybe 2 in the acc to go to the dance. Makes you think a little.
The conferences all get a piece of the pie from the schools from which they send therefore their best interest is in sending as many teams as posssible.
Tonight I think Pepperdine will do their part but if it is close watch which way the calls go.
Take Pepperdine plus the points but I don't think you'll need em.

checkraiser,

Good points. . .

I thought about taking the 4.5 but decided to roll the dice and play the ML here as the last two days have gone well for me. Smart play is to take the points like you said but I like the value in playing +185 when I believe Pepperdine has a 50% chance of winning this game.

Just like you said, lets hope the points don't come in play.

Glad to see Wilson on this as well. . . never hurts to be on the same side as someone who's riding an amazing streak!

here is another good reason, zags already in,peperdine wins tonight then have to teams in for sure, and don't think that type of shit doesnot happen in tournament time,i was around long enough in the ncaa to hear stories like this.totaly different them fixing a game for cash, but this what i speak of happens more then you would know. why better cash cut for conference more teams better % of money that comes back to conf.
