ROCKIES/BLUE JAYS Under 9 +100 ? These 2 clubs begin Interleague play with their respective aces on the mound. Hampton?s overall numbers are still poor due to his dreadful start, but he has pitched much better lately. The Rockies have won 3 of his last 4 starts, and he picked up his first road win of the season in his last start in San Francisco. He is facing a Blue Jays team that is batting just .238 vs. left-handed pitching this season, including .209 over the last 10 games. Halladay was knocked around pretty good in Detroit last out, but that snapped an impressive streak in which he allowed no more than 2 earned runs in 5 consecutive starts. He has done his best pitching here at home, where he has an excellent 2.31 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP in 35 innings. Remember, too, that each of these pitchers is making his first career start vs. tonight?s opponent, which usually results in a low scoring game.
