Can't believe Rodgers had enough guts to comment in the post game interview about receiver's drops, but nothing about the 3 wide open recevers he missed in critical situations, or his fumble, or not even throwing the ball on fourth down. Threw his teammates under the bus, took no blame himself.

He did at least mention he was not happy with the way he played... The miss to Finley before the 4th down sack was the bad one. I was at the game and from where I sat, Finley either scores or at least down to the 5. Would have potentially made it 20-20 and BIG momentum shift...

Credit is due to G Men for putting good pressure on with 4 rushers most of the game. receivers were just NOT getting very open, so when they were and he did get them the ball, the drops had to be frustrating.

But yeah, Jennings pass was brutal and would have walked in for score instead of FG early. Way underthrew Nelson down sidelines when he had his man beat, although into the wind. He did keep ALOT aloive with his feet though when receivers were blanketed.

Where it is real F ing COLD
He is just like most QBs, they have egos and they need to have that arrogance to be good I guess.
Being a Viking fan it was nice to see him have a shitty game, with all the Favre knocking that goes on in this state!

He missed those wide open receivers on purpose. That is what some would say but really he panicked, got the weebie jeebies, choked pick one.

I watched the game at EZ! Only guy who was wearing purple! I didn't rub it in to anyone and most of those guys don't give me shit back when the vikes lose! My close friends will text me shit or leave messages after a tough loss but not the EZ crew! My best friend was in San Diego for work so he quit texting me after the Grant fumble! Being a Viking fan it's tough to give the packers shit and I know how it feels th have a season come to an abrupt end! Jim and George who own the bar just said " shi t happens" pumped the juke box with credits and let the shots pour, I took it easy cause I had to work Monday but my buddy pickled pete had plenty, he was numbing the pain at Grumpys yesterday so after work I had a beer and a shot with him and a few other packer fans joined in!
Pickled didn't think the packers would win but I do have one buddy I am going to give a ton of shit to cause he is just a prick come football season! Before the kc loss he was talking about this team being the best ever yadayada, he posted that he was watching the history channel when watching this team! I told him the 96 packers would bitch slap this team, he probably won't show his face til softball time

Plus I wouldn't be so upset they lost cause the team is young with tins of cap room, I am sure they are going to find defensive talent who will want to come and they will spend their hole draft on defense and o line!!

Questions??? You think McCarthy learned a lesson by letting his players sit game 16? I listened to Dan Fouts before the game and he said that pack have to worry about ball handling and drops because they sat so long and was he ever spot on?

Why was the defense so bad this year compared to last? Wad there that much of a personnel change? Think teams know how to limit Matthews just a little?

Why didn't they play Starks more? He was a beast last year in playoffs!

Ted Thompson didn't think cullen jenkins was worth resigning. He was the key to the defense. He could pass rush, demand double teams and this gave Matthews free rein to pass rush. The loss of Nick Collins was also devestating. Collins was the glue to secondary and covered up alot of the weaknesses especially worthless Charlie Pepprah who needs to leave town. Morgan Burnett had to replace Collins and wasn't ready yet. He would have been playing the safety position where Pepprah was. AJ Hawk also benefited last year with jenkins and Matthews and this seasonthe real overrated Hawk reemerged. Packers didn't even want to resign him so they know but they have no one better than himright now but that will change with DJ Smith and Francois so Hawk may be gone.

So two players on your team make you the worst defense in the NFL compared to last year when they were dominant ending the season?

Yes - when you are talking about a defensive tackle that can pass rush and not allow double and triple teams on your outside pass rushers, and a play making safety (when you are getting pressure on opposing quarterbacks)

I would say that is a fair statement

OK, I would also add that Sam Shields regressed a bit and the pass rush was anemic. It all starts there, early in the Giants game they were rushing 3 and 4 leaving Manning to stand and hit deep throws. In the second half they started to blitz much more and the Giants starting throwing quicker high percentage passes.

Giants have such an edge with Pass defense cause they can drop 7 into coverage.. Rodgers had to run out of the pocket a lot to gain first downs..

I wonder what is out there for free agency as a pass rusher. Have to imagine that the Pack use their entire draft on defense and an O lineman or 2
