My Pick is : Carr ( the #1 pick )
I see him starting and having a good year for the Texans. I think the Texans will be avg at best this year but the one bright spot will be Carr.

Do you really think he is going to come out and kick butt in the NFL? I really have to disagree (I will hold my comments close to the vest). I was going to get season tickets/PSL to the Texans until I found out they were going to be an AFC team....and they don't even play the Raiders this year. Nice to have football in Houston, personally if I want to see a football game I will have to fly into SFO.

i dont know about impact...because im not sure about how much playing time he is going to get...but i think if given a chance he can show that he was a steal...BRANCH ...NEW ENGLAND...saw this kid at rookie camp or whatever it is...watched him at st looey...big time speed...great hands...returns punts..physical...and in tremendous shape...i can realistically see him taking some plays from troy brown!!!...this kid is solid...cooz...and keep an eye on Graham...the pats basically had tight end by committe last year...this kid should get his number called quite a bit..cooz
Im thinking the Bengals get the laugh last w/ their 1st round pick of Levi Jones. Im reading that he may win the starting left tackle job which can only help Dillon & the combo duo of Kitna/Frerotte.
I also like the Browns' William Green. I think Butch Davis finally has the running back that he has been looking for. I am looking for this stud to have an awesome year. He should take away some pressure off Couch.

Have been browsing and this topic caught my eye. I will give you 3 names to be on the look out for as I believe they will surprise if given the chance. But before going any further, let me warn you that this is a "biased" opinion as all 3 rookies are from the University of Hawaii. We don't get the attention like the other big conferences but we do play a pretty good brand of football.
1) Ashley Lelie(WR) - this kid has it all, speed, hands, height; but I believe his tremendous character and work ethic will carry him far. Denver wont be disappointed with their #1 pick.
2) Nick Rolovich(QB) - all this kid needs is a chance; was a FA with Dallas but they didn't give him the time of day, so June Jones asked Shanahan to give him a look see. Signed as a FA and believe he can stick and just might surprise.
3)Nate Jackson (DB) - skinny and lanky kid but boy can he bring it; signed as a FA with the Titans after they conferred with Jones; I would be terribly disappointed if he fails to make it.
As you fellows can see, I'm biased and yes, I root for the "little guy" and "unknowns". In my book, these are the guys that come to play day in day out. By the way, June Jones does not "throw" around his recommendations freely. He tells it like it is to the NFL coaches. Case in point is a guy named Kynan Forney who Reeves signed as a FA last year. This was after Jones gave Reeves a call. Needless to say, this Forney kid made it as one of the starting guard for the Atlanta Falcons.
Guess, I'm too long winded so will end it here. Please fellahs - dont get me wrong. I know there are much more talented players out there. Just wanted to give my $0.02 on what I believe to be "undiscovered" talent that you might not have been aware of.

lelie can flykurby he has great height. The only thing he needs to work on is his weight. should have a great career

Nah, Lelie never played as a KR - only WR. Though he tore up BYU, his best game was against Fresno State. Some of his catches in that game were spectacular. Believe you got Lelie mixed up with another Hawaii player, Chad Owens (jr.) who absolutely took BYU to the cleaners with a kickoff and punt returns for TDs.
Agree that Lelie should put on a few more pounds and think he has the frame to do so. But, this kid is tough as nails as I don't think he ever was hurt during his college career. Of course he is now with the big boys so we'll wait and see. However, if given the chance, I really think he will become something special for Denver (just like another Hawaii product, Jason Elam).

Yep, I live and die with my home team, Hawaii. I follow the team quite closely so from time to time I will give my insight on their games. At least this will help you to make a "meaningful" decision with your "house". Just check the college football forum from time to time.
