ytd: 162-152-5 (-5.2 units)
One unit each*.......local lines
Oklahoma -7 (going to run with the extremely physical sooners here....butler has had a great run, but believe it ends right here. Louisville had a 3-point shooting contest with Butler and lost...I believe we will see Oklahoma focus on taking that aspect of their game away...Oklahoma can clamp down on "D" when they want....you can't take Butler lightly....I hope Kelvin Sampson has stressed this point and will coach accordingly. Butler also shot lights out last game...very difficult to do 2 games in a row no matter how good of a shooting team you are...maybe they will, but my $$$ says no. Oklahoma went deep last year, experience will help here as well...DD win.)
Oklahoma/Butler over 121 (Oklahoma will have to put up points in order to cover this game spread...Butler has shown the ability to play both ways...very low scoring against Miss. St. and a high scoring game verse Louisville....believe Oklahoma will try to force tempo a little in this game as a low scoring, slow paced game will favor Butler...if I can get 64 points out of Oklahoma, I'm at worst going to get a split....banking that they can get there.)
Syracuse -5 (This play scares me to death....line seems a little short...not to mention this is a huge public play here. Auburn for some reason reminds me of Indiana last year....riding the underdog role into the final four
with that said, I still believe this team is not that good and have been playing above their heads...hard to stay that high when you really aren't that good to begin with....if the real Syracuse comes to play tonight, believe they crash the tigers back to earth in a pretty big way.)
Texas -3 1/2 (I believe texas has some inside strength that can compete with okafor. I really like the toughness of this longhorn team...they can defend and they have a very good point guard in TJ Ford to run their offense, which is key this time of the year. UConn is definitely a quality team more than capable of winning this game outright, but I'll role with the hometown/state longhorns playing in San Antonio to win this by 7.)
Maryland -3 (going with experience here....Maryland has been there....have some good senior leadership....and they can score the ball. Michigan St. has been dominate to say the least in their first two games...can it continue? maybe, but I'm betting against it.)
looks like all of the chalk tonight
don't know what that means, but I will around 11pm tonight
good luck to all in whatever you play
